snug around silica yankee. I found that the tighter the coil, the better the taste and the smoke and maybe the less the junk around wick but I will check this in about 2 days
Imeo, just to clarify.... Do you mean tight as in coils close together? Or tight as in snug around the silica?

Hi guys, I purchased a ZAPPER and got it in my mailbox yesterday, but I didn't like it... If anyone wants to buy, please PM. Thanks

Why didn't you like the Zapper? I have a chance to order one and would like to know if its worth it.

Imeo, I have a question regarding this setup. Is it because its tight on a 2mm wick, or is it because you took 2 strands out which "loosened" the wick to 2 mm?
I guess I'm wondering why this setup works so greatness wick?

In other words, would you get we same result if you just used 2mm wick without removing strands?

I dont have a 2mm wick here Yankee. But I think that a pure 2mm wick will work the same.
Did you already tried a 3mm wick th 2 strands removed?

Same is happening when coil is around a single wick aal (On a dual coil setup)
Yankee. I think it works because he has 2 wicks side by side. When using only 1 wick you choke it. When you have a coil around 2 wicks I think the stay somewhat fluffy in the middle.

You need to heat treat it to a glowing white hot before hand and then coat it with juice before you cut it, it won't fray at all. It's the best I've tried as far as wicking goes. I find that the XC-116 is just a bit too thick for my Ithaka in a dual wick setup, not enough room between the ceramic and the wicks for the light draw I prefer. It does work excellent on my Penny and Kayfun though and I can dry burn it to almost new condition far more than I could if it were Silica. Vaping pretty much tobacco's only this is a big deal to me, my juice tends to gunk up a wick in about a day.

Schlim66

Awesome advice Schlim66, I am definitely going to have to try that out when I go up to my Friends Shop, he is the one that I gave it to. I have quite a few Brick and Mortars popping up around here and since I have been vaping for over 2 years now I know several of the people who are opening them which is a definite plus :D

Thank you for the advice on wetting the wicks before cutting because just getting it glowing red hot did not work for cutting on the XC 116 so white hot then a good juice wetting before cutting, Got It :D
Sincerely;
Nate

I found a video on how to join NR/R wires with the joint as small as 2 wires meeting each other and twisted once. Basically the joint is at least 10 times smaller than what we've been doing with the fold it back on itself method. It is from another vendor so PM if you want the link.

I did dual wick on penny and it still didn't perform. But I just setup the single wick on Ithaca

I just setup two ithaka now. 2 strands removed, tight 2.4ohm coils on each with a dual coil setup. About 1.2ohm overall.

So far? There does seem to be more vapor. The flavor is definitely different. It's a rich flavor. Is it richer than a full 3mm wick? Not sure yet. But is a good different. Is it the "space" in the channel that allows the juice to just flow in addition to true wicking? Not sure. But I have BF on both wicks and MP closes and am chain vaping so far with no issues.

Oh. The dual tight coils on this 2mm is on the X. The X setup for dual is my favorite setup.
