It's been a couple years since I've been here. Last time I was, tanks and dual coils were the new toys. Since then, I've used regular dual coil carts that I buy from Tasty Vapor since there only a short drive away.

Anyways, I've seen some people using some atomizer type things that I wasn't familiar with.

I saw one guy talking about micro coils and another person showing off their ud-igo w atomizer. No idea what those things are.

Can you guys update me? There's a blot of new things I don't recognize on the forum anymore. All I know is atomizer, carts, and tanks. Anything beyond that is new to me. Like I said, I haven't been on here for about 2 years.

Thanks.

Pyrex cartotanks are the norm now, safe for all flavors of e-liquids that used to crack or melt polycarbonate tanks or clearomizers. Something Safe for Cinnamon & Citrus Flavors

The current generation of clearomizers have marked improvements over earlier models just a year ago. Easy fill and go make them very convenient, but most still somewhat mute flavors. A few of these are being made with pyrex such as the Kanger ProTank. The Innokin iClear 16 & 30 are dual coil clearomizers.

More advanced vapors that don't mind being of the tinkering type are using RBA/RDA (Rebuildable Tank Atomizers/Rebuildable Drip Atomizers). Some of these people are into sub-ohm coils (home-made coils that are < 1.0 ohm), but the new thing appears to be Micro Coils which is safer and less demanding on batteries. Advice & Tips for New RBA Users

There have been some new submersable, rebuildable atomizers that work in cartotanks, such as the Killer and Diver. I've read mixed reviews of these.

Protected Li-Ion batteries have fallen out of favor, and IMR (Li-Mn/safe-chemistry/high-drain) batteries are now recommended for all applications. Battery Basics for Mods: IMR or Protected Battery?

The Provari (US made) has been and still is the King of Regulated Mods for over 2 years. A large number of Chinese-made variable voltage/variable wattage mods have come and gone.

Bottom feeder box mods are popular. The Reo has a very loyal fan base.

Mechanical mods are enjoying a resurgence in popularity, primarily because they can utilize sub-ohm coils with RBA/RDAs. High end models have become literally works of art and have become collector items. "Hybrid mods" match a mechanical mod with a RBA to give the appearance of a single piece unit.

Wow Bad, from your post I think you've answered that question a time or two (hundred). I have one now about this line "Hybrid mods" match a mechanical mod with a RBA to give the appearance of a single piece unit.Is the RBA not normally an integral part of a hybrid? I was under the impression it was built it. I'm still playing catch up too.

It very well could be that the RBA is built-into the mod itself. I don't own one, and haven't really researched them as they are out of my range $$. You would have to be pretty dedicated to using a Rebuildable to spend that kind of money on such a single purpose mod. I enjoy using a variety of juice attachments on my mods, so I've never had much if any interest in Hybrids.

Hybrids are odd. The atty is built in. I think you can attach other juice delivery. Not sure though.
