My Aqua is being ridiculous. Fires wonderfully on every device, except my new Hana Modz V3. On this device, it wants to be finicky. Constant tinkering to get it to work. Take a couple pulls, then it wants to be a jerk

Fires wonderfully on the Hana mini my wife uses. I think I need a new Aqua

This would tell me it is the device and not the atty.... Just saying....

My Aqua didn't come with the three tiny o-rings. I know they go on the post inside the delrin, but what purpose do they serve? Mine has been working just fine without them.

Sent from my bird in a moist little package :p
The seal the juice from coming down the post and leaking onto the top of the battery when flooding occurs.

Try unscrewing the 510 center post on the Aqua about 1/2 a turn or so and see if that corrects it. If it does find a thin washer/ paper / gasket/ ect that you can add under it to keep the length and still tighten it down.

This is assuming it's open and not shorted, what error code is it spitting out?

check atomizer

naturally I tried every twist and turn you could think of. I have to really wrench the thing down to get it to fire, but it's inconsistent. I believe it's how the threading match up. theres a slight lean on the atomizer on this device, but none of my others seem to do this, or at least I can't tell with my 2 taifun GTs

I think it's the design of the pin, couple with this 510 that produces the lean. Since the pin is really 2 contact points, it seems it's not fully making contact with both points and spitting out this error.

it appears this 510 is seated about 1-2 mm lower than the hana mini

Are you saying that the 510 center pin is sticking out a considerable amount past the threads of the 510 on the Aqua?

should be plenty, sure

I swapped with the Mrs for the day (full size for the mini). kinda sucks tbh
If it were mine I'd be making it flush, one doesn't necessarily need the screw slot anyway, pliers work to tighten it before screwing on the 510 adapter cap.

Wow, that's really sticking out.
This one is actually inside just a fuzz but is in the correct spot for my Taifun mod.
Now this is what it should look like. Try adjusting that center post into the base until it's slightly inside to slightly outside. How your mod adjusts, or not, for different toppers decides which is best. I generally go with about a quarter turn outward once I've adjusted it to be even with the bottom of the connector.

hey guys just received an origen brass clone from fasty which seems pretty nice for the price. this is my first bottom button mech since getting rid of my vela last year. I sold the vela because from time to time I had forgotten to lock the switch before setting it down. this just ...... me off and I vowed to not own a bottom switch mod again. after selling the vela I purchased a roller and dingo and still have my omega along with a couple of vv mods and a dna-20. anyways I just wanted the origen clone so I could use it with my aqua in non- 510 connection mode(I cant remember that term) so im really liking this clone but once again, on my way home from work I forgot to lock the dam button. I would say it had fired for 5 min easy and when I realized it, I reached and grabbed it and burnt my freaking hand, I flung it and it broke my freaking window! I couldn't believe it, it must of hit the window in the perfect spot to do this. anyways I pulled over and grabbed a towel and pulled the battery out. the juice was leaking everywhere, all over all sides of the mod. I kept it in the towel till I got home which was about 15 min. went inside and still couldn't hold the mod, it was still that hot. anyways when I took the aqua apart the wick was still perfect, not burnt at all, it looked no different then if this had not happened at all. I was expecting to see all the innards like blackened, a burnt wick and like a melted insulator but non of that happened at all. then again today I did the same dam thing but caught it within 30 seconds, needless to say im not sure how long im going to use this mod because I just cant seem to lock the switch everytime.

Gettin a lil machining taste from my Aqua. Not strong, but a lil on the exhale. I cleaned/wiped it down well before using it, but it hit me-the air holes! Didnt soak it. Could it be from oils from inside the air hole system? And do you guys soak the entire atty? Build deck and all? So far, other than this lil hickup, I looove this Aqua. Kayfun killer? Just might be true.... flavors a lil better with my KFL+ clone.

Absolutely soak every device I get

got that new dripper I mentioned yesterday and scrubbed it with dawn and a toothbrush. Coiled it up and (when I got it to fire) had a machine oil taste

I realized I have this kind of green cleaner stuff that is biodegradable, so I just tossed some in the ultra sonic cleaner with the atty fully broken down for 20 minutes. no more metal taste

the juice control really helps for high wattage as well as thick juices to expose more of the wick

I did zero fixes to the aqua after receiving a origen dripper in the mail that didn't want to fire

I switched to the green hana. zero problems now
I don't believe that you ever mentioned what if any error codes that you were getting. But here is a couple of things that happen in a pretty short time to the 510 connector when the center pin sticks out too far.
The first is the grommet on the mods 510 center pin splits and shorts when the atty is tightened down.
And the other is the screw head shaped center pin of the atty digs into the center pin of the mod and spins it till the attached wire breaks off. I learned all this the hard way.
