All brands of Aqua including the original "wobble" when the liquid control is in an open position , just some seem to wobble a little more than others, Tobeco appears to win the wobble the most contest. All seem to function well.
If I were to buy another it would be the $20 FT one unless I could buy one of the others for around that price.

Question for you peeps

I really want to mess with one of these but I'm very concerned about the wobbling issues with the juice control, as juice control will be an absolute must for me

Does it seem correct so far that the HCigar version (seems this walrus character and other on ebay are selling this, maybe the 20.00 fast tech version also) has a stable and functional juice flow control…and the Tobeco version perhaps functional but wobbly?

Just want to make sure I'm as up to date as possible before making a decision, been reading in here for a bit.

(Also any info on the EHPro version? They seem to make great stuff. Its all over ebay too, purportedly anyway)

My 101vape tobeco aqua may win wobble contest when juice control is open.

I keep juice control full shut, have zero wobble and vaped 20% to 80% VG w/o a problem. I'm using cotton ball wicks.

Initially I had deck flooding because I was testing w/ thin 100% PG and it floods deck very quick when top fill; until vacuum formed. I have top filled many times recently and have no deck flooding. There was a learning curve for me but now it's easy as pie to quick fill with no tools.

I fit FT glass DT w/ fat o-ring and it fits Aqua snug as a bug; tight.
I love it because I don't need to pull DT when top filling; quick refill.
101vape Aqua looks good to me on 101vape Nemesis and FT Origin.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I may just try one of the eBay units listed as Hcigar because I'm impatient :)

It's good to hear that you're not having wicking issues emus. That said I've been at this long enough to know that bottom coils always give me wicking problems because of my vape temp and pace. The Russian couldn't keep up with me until I dremeled the wick channels. Hence my concern with the flow thing. The best bottom wicking unit I've ever had was the Penelope because of the flow control, but that damn NR wire thing wasn't worth it lol. Sold it !

I'm running single 3/32" coil w/ four cotton ball wick tails so it's a quick wicker. The four Aqua channels are pretty big out of the box. I'm still amazed it doesn't deck flood since I got the hang of tank vacuum.

I get excellent vapor quality from single coil. The aqua dual coil bumped vapor quality up a notch or two; almost too much vapor goodness. I never dreamt vapor quality could reach this level. In 2007 cigalike TH consistency and vapor production was far behind analog; now it far exceeds analog. I am stunned. Bet BT is stunned as well.

can u tell me the best way to do single coil? do i have to stuff up all 4 fluid channels? I was getting severe flooding as I only stuffed cotton in 2 of the channels? also--how to do get your tank vacuum working optimally??

My aqua life:

Toothpick plug one deck air hole.
Syringe tip jet fit in other deck hole to increase air velocity and elevate air supply above deck floor.

Dual cotton ball wicks fit snug through 3/32" ID coil.
Four wick tails fit flush w/ 4 deck channel chimney threads; two tails folded to fit slightly snug.
100% VG used as chimney thread sealant to prevent virgin fill deck flood.
100% VG used to prime wicks and seal against deck flood.

Pour juice in top; no dropper needed; very quick fill.
Start top screwing.
Invert.
Tighten top.
Vape w/ single coil deck hole up or aqua inverted till vacuum formed.

Enjoy till low vapor alarm.
Pop top; 5 seconds.
Pour juice straight in; 5 seconds.
Screw top and invert; 20 seconds.
Vape w/ deck hole up; few Grimm toots.
Enjoy, repeat.

What's a good indicator that the vacuum is formed?

I do the rumba shuffle. Invert, tilt, toot, quick upright; and repeat. When no hint of gurgle sound, dance is over. If juice got in air hole; you need dance lessons. Dance gets easier as VG ratio is increased.

I hope that imprints some mental image.

Ok...so it's not just me then.

Best way I've found to fill it is to first make sure it's a hair shy of bone dry. I leave the air control open as the way I vape it. Remove top cap keeping chimney tight. I usually put pressure on the chimney with a thumb as I unscrew the cap with the other hand. Fill just over top of the chamber. Then start the cap on a thread or two, then invert and tighten the rest of the way.

Strangely, your method for clearing it is exactly what I've done to clear the air ways which seems to be necessary no matter how careful I am on the refill.

I will add the shuffle dance steps for flair on the next go round.

I have owned an aqua for a while now and felt like the only issue was the flooding after filling but this is a thing of the past with filling it up side down. besides absolutely no flooding you are also able to get over 3mls of juice into the tank. also it doesn't matter where the juice control is, it can be totally open or totally closed. turn upside down and unscrew the base, put base aside and fill between chimney & tank wall then screw back base. that's it! one thing is you have to be careful not to disturb the top chimney seal. at first the re tightening of the base back onto the device is a little tricky but after a few times its no problem.

Bottom fill does have advantages. I prefer top fill because it is very quick and easy. I think everyone should try it both ways to discover their preference.

Now I'm glad there is no fill port. That would require a screw driver and a flashlight to locate dropped screw.

im not sure on the reason you want to run just one coil but one guy had only a vv device for his aqua and just wanted a single coil because his mod just couldn't run duals to good, what he did was to make a coil in a series. one length of wire with 2 small coils. this accomplished a few things for him, one the set up was a lot easier and 2 he didn't have to block off anything, also it brought up his resistance so he could use his vv device. not sure if this is something that you might be interested in.

i have done both ways and now that i have been bottom filling for the past month, both methods i can do in the same time. actually because i don't have to close down the juice control before filling, i could probably fill the aqua faster doing the bottom fill method.
