Oh man! You missed it! I just tried to light my 510 with a lighter!

That right there is the reason I cleaned my desk, coffee table, and car of all lighters and gave them away to my smoking friends. I tried that with my 801 when I got in the car the morning after I got it and realized the danger my brand new PV was in. Welcome to vaping, I just started myself and am glad there are always excited new people like yourself on this forum I can learn with!

FW, I'll tell ya... I started to vape on a Sunday night, late. This is after smoking 1 1/2 P.A.D. for 26 years. Monday, I smoked 13 analogs. Tuesday, 6. Wednesday, 3... and with one left in my pack, I handed it to my co-worker (Archon here, I think... he just got a Riva, lol), and said to him, "man, you want this? I don't think I need 'em anymore".

Most of it's in your head at this point. It's just a matter of sticking to the PV long enough to *prove* to your subconscious that it WILL work in the place of an analog. No matter how long it takes, just stick with it. Eventually, the craving for analogs will probably just burn out (pun intended) on its own.

Along the lines of Firehorse above: Do yourself a favor. After at least a week (preferably two) without an analog, go bum one. Let us know how long it takes for you to scrunch up your face, gag, and put it out. Then tell yourself, "They *always* tasted like this". You'll never want an analog again.

You betcha!!! So far I have not given in the urge (or habit) to light one up. So that is now... what... about 5 hours plus. I have here at home a unopen pack I bought a couple of days ago. Last one. Looking at it. Thinking... bye bye... I sure hope so....

Now that I've been vaping for the last few hours I have found that the 26mg nic juice I ordered is way too wacky! Too much nic rush! So I need to get a lower level of nic. I was smoking 100 lights. So what would the equal be in juice? I guess around maybe 10mg?

Hard to tell what nic level equates to anything. If 26 is way too high, try maybe 18 mg and see. You can gradually go down, down, down....or not. I started at 24 mg and now do 18 mg or sometimes 12 mg. In fact, I do 18 in the morning to get me going, then when I'm sitting around vaping and playing on the computer all evening, I move to 12 so I can chain vape. lol It's really trial and error on that. Everybody's different. Also.....if you just go to Walmart or CVS or even Hobby Lobby you can get some pure VG and add it to the juice you have that's too high. You can cut it down to whatever level....play around with it. But, it will cut the flavor as well as the nic level....be aware. I did that (didn't mind cutting the flavor of some of my juices...lol) just to find a nic level I liked. Just a suggestion. Pure VG is a handy thing to have around anyway....if you ever run entirely out of juice (it'll only happen ONCE, I'll bet!) you can vape it and it'll be better than nothing.

Like Rosa said, if you have a flavor that you like, just get a bottle of 12mg of the same flavor.
Then you can mix them a little at a time until you find your happy place.

And you still have some high strength juice left if you need a kick or to kill a bad craving.

I had my dinner and went outside afterwards and had a half a analog. It didn't any more ickier than it normally does, which is pretty bad anyway.
They taste worse and worse as you get further and further away.
I am convinced they put something in the vapor to make cigarettes taste like crap.
:)

Unfortunately, they still taste the same to me - even after vaping since March. I went camping in July and all my batts died by the end of the trip. I smoked Camels for the last two days of it and they were just like I remember them. But, honestly, the excitement was gone. I really could take 'em or leave 'em (except the first day I had this horrid headache, my hubby says he blames the smokes - could be).

After the trip, I plugged in my PV in my car charger and went back to vaping like nothing had happened. No big deal, I really don't care about them anymore. Amazing!

Not sure about cat turds. lol But earlier today I was finally getting around to removing the ashtrays from all over the house. Low and behold on the bedroom nightstand a 3/4 full analog from about a week ago. This was the first analog I had smoked in 4 days. Tasted awful (I'm sure the staleness didn't help). Two puffs and off it went. I think this time it's gonna stick.
