Been *really* enjoying my 510 the past few days, not the juice particularly but it is all I have until my other orders start coming in. Everyone's advice in my other thread has been great, thank you!

Now, I ordered a skin for my 510 from here Vinyl Electronic Cigarette Skins - Add Personality To Your Electronic Cigarette but it hasn't come with any instructions? How the heck do I put it on? It came as just a flat rectangle and there would be no hole for the button (I use a manual 510). Does this mean its only meant for an automatic or something?

Let me tell you the amount of "screwed up" I've had lately. I ordered the wrong drip tips (801 instead of 510) that is getting rectified. I accidentally ordered 2 lanyards somehow, that's getting fixed too, this skin thing is boggling, the (at least 3) 30ml of juice that I can't stand.

Something is wrong with me lol

Anyway, anyone know about the cig skins thing?

P.S. Wow the dry mouth and sorta bad taste lingering in my mouth from the Virgina Flue I'm currently vaping (I really don't like it but its not as bad as the other stuff I got). I have increased the water drinking and I'm actually going to get some candies or mints to suck on to help the bad taste. This isn't ALWAYS like this is it? Is it just the juice I have, am I doing something wrong, or does it just happen that way at first?

I don't know what to tell you about the skin, except maybe an exacto knife to cut out the hole. Otherwise clean the bat with rubbing alcohol, let that dry, peel the back off the (modified and measured so as not to overlap when it is wrapped around the battery) colored skin, line it up carefully before you stick it. The edges should meet but not overlap. The skin should have come with a clear cover part that should be modified the same way as the first except that it should wrap around a little further. The third piece is a strip that should be used to cover the seam.

On the bad taste as long as its not a burned taste it's probably just a juice flavor that you don't like. I find that some coffee flavors taste like strong celery. I smell celery all day if I vape it. Celery on my clothes, celery on my hands, and celery in my hair.I like celery well enough in soup, but not to vape. I don't know if anyone else perceives this taste as celery, but I sure do. I suspect that our perception of taste varies from person to person. Otherwise many people are vaping celery on a daily basis. Do you get that bad taste with other juices?
On the dry mouth, keep drinking lots of water! Vaping is dehydrating.

I haven't bought a 510 atomizer for while but they used to come with a primer fluid in that you should blow through because it tastes foul, could this be your problem?

I never went for the tobacco flavours, there seemed so many other delights to be sampled, some sound like you wouldn't like to vape it but then I realised that there are times and places for each.

like my whiskey flavour is great when you are having a beer, it's like having a shot after every sip of beer )

Yeah, it could just be the primer on the new atty. Blow it out good and start over. The Flue Cured Virginia shouldn't be all that bad. The plain Virginia is pretty good. Depends on where ya got it too.

I did blow out both of my atomizers and I have been using the one for the past couple days. Its a *mild* bad taste and like I said its probably not a bad taste to someone else, I just don't really like it. It does stay with me though.

I do have other flavors coming so hoping one of those will do it.

My husband caved and we ordered him a Riva from Liberty Flights with the great sale they're having so I'm excited for him to have his own, mostly because my 510 batteries aren't the greatest to begin with and he is using one of them in the evening when he's home so I don't have my "spare" charging while I use one hehe

I would use my standard line for newbs - cartomizers!!! But you like to drip, so you are likely not a newb...

The bad taste is normal at the beginning and should go away shortly. I found in the beginning that I really couldn't stand the tobacco flavours (except RY4) and have since settled into minty and mentholy juices.

Hope the tastebuds get used to it soon and enjoy your vaping!

I soaked my first atomizer in isopropryl alcohol for a few minutes and dried it with a blow dryer. That helped to get rid of the bad taste. The taste was fine after that, especially when I started vaping RY4 mixed with Apple from freedomsmokeusa.com -- and switching to cartomizers after three days of using the atomizer.

Well, I am a newb as I only started using ecigs on 10-20-10 I just did a LOT of reading and video watching while I was waiting for my kit to arrive. I do seem to prefer dripping, it makes it taste better I think. I think I am getting burnt plastic on some of my vapes when using a cartridge + atomizer? I don't know.

I do have some blank cartomizers here now but waiting on some "good" ejuice to try it on though. I don't want to taint them with the stuff I have.

How does it work anyway if I want to try and trade it away? I hate that I have 3 - 30 ml bottles of ejuice that I really really don't like. The other 30 ml bottle is Virginia Flue Cure and that has grown on me. I don't love it but I *can* vape it unlike the other stuff. I just would really like to try a bunch of different flavors but I have spent too much already. My husband told me I am way above budget for this little venture :/ I hope that the stuff I ordered (a few 5ml bottles) will at least be something I like, THEN I am going to have to convince the hubby ot let me order more in a larger size so I can have some to sustain me.

Well, try the carto's then, good move. The atty/cart combo has limited value, in my view. 5, maybe 7 good hits at best then ack. Cart = maybe 1 analog, 1.5 maybe before yuck. Carto = 1/2 pack, perhaps less.

The first 2 or 3 hits is stronger with the cart however. Not even close to worth the pain to fill them every 2 mins. in my view however. If i am going to put juice in that often, I am going to drip.

I sometimes feel like I am on a crusade against the atty/cart combo, lol. But there is no logical person on the planet that can convince me it has any value. Want strong hits? Then drip. Want convenience? Then use carto's. Cart's have little, if any value.

How many carts/cartomizers/atomizers/batteries should one person have? I have the 2 atomizers, batteries that came with my kit and 5 empty cartomizers and 5 empty cartridges. This is good for a while isn't it?

Do you think when/if I can trade that anyone will want to trade 5ml of a bunch of different flavors for a 30ml of one? I kinda doubt it but then I didn't know people traded their liquid.

I think 2 boxes of carto's is a good start. (That is 10). 1 box would be rather limited, certainly for me. Also, they do not last forever, maybe a couple of weeks? I haven't had an issue with them burning out - yet.

MiztrezzLyn, just hold on to those juices that you don't like for a while. Try them again in a couple of months. Tastes do change after vaping a while, and the juice will mature some with age.

I am using some Virginia that I got when I first started 3 months ago. I didn't like it much then, but now its pretty good. I like it enough to at least finish up the bottle.

Btw, if you are gonna use atomizers instead of cartomizers, 2 is not enough. Get at least 3 spares. As far as cartridges go, they can last you a long time. Its the filler that needs to be replaced occasionally.

If you go with cartomizers, The Buss knows best.

I might hold on to them but I really don't think I will like them. The smell alone revolts me.

I think I do like atomizer route, I've been enjoying direct dripping but I am going to try the cartomizers I have when some juice comes in that I like.

3 more atomizers? That is gonna cost some money..hmm. Hubby isn't too keen on me spending any more money. I hope the 2 I have will last me a little bit. Maybe that + the 5 cartomizers I have will be okay for a little bit.

OMG! I just got my order in from Freedom Smokes USA (AMAZING shipping time btw and they included a free sample of Wyatt Earp!) and got to try:

Fuzzy Navel *LOVE* this
Watermelon *LOVE*
Cherry Cola (was good)
and Thin Mint Cookie (good)

I had no idea vaping could be like THIS! I thought it was amazing when I was vaping the Virgina Flue that I didn't like that much but this is a completely different animal! Even my husband was very surprised and impressed hehe

If I don't ever find another "good" eliquid, I could vape Fuzzy Navel or Watermelon forever!

I just need to get some more atomizers, cartridges or cartomizers or something.

I've come across a problem with one of my 510 batteries though and its only 3 days old :/ It doesn't seem to want to charge (both pcc or wall charging) and after charging I have to hit the button like 15 times before it will actually light up and work. I've sent a message to Vapor King where I got it from and hopefully I can get it replaced. I only have the 2 batteries that came with the kit and they don't have a great use time as it is, I can't be one down!

I wish the Fuzzy Navel and Watermelon had just a TINY bit more throat hit. Is that because of it being a 50/50 pg/vg? Just trying to figure out what affects what. Otherwise I'm in love with the stuff. The thin mint cookie is REALLY growing on me lol

In other news, my husband LOVES the Wyatt Earp sample we got. I mean REALLY likes it. He keeps telling me he might just order the 120ml size LOL That's something because my husband does NOT like to spend money
