I've been writing to them since September, Hairball... And posting about the issue. They know perfectly well that they screwed up. They will never admit it. But they pulled the lab report, stating that the material tested was fiberglass, from their website.

They also lied about their tanks being stainless steel (and charging us ss prices) while the chimneys in both Nautiluses and the Atlantis are made from chromed brass.

Well... here is my story.

I was looking for the perfect vape. I work off shore as a paramedic and have plenty of free time. I started with CE4s, protank IIs, carto tanks, egos and MVPs. I moved up to a few gennys ( went through that whole steel cable wicking horsepucky ) and a few drippers, and eventually a kayfun. I liked the quality of vape but really hated the dripping mess, and having to carry a little tool box with me everywhere. I dropped everything when the original nautilus BDC came out. Then had to scramble to find all my stuff when a batch of BDC coils all started to give noting but dry hits.

I literally came very close to quitting vaping all together. I was stuck out on a rig with 4 packs of worthless coils and forced to try to use a nimbus clone at 1 ohm off of an mvp.

Then the BVC coils and the mini hit, and I was in vaping nirvana again. Plug and play, all the good 50/50 or 60/40 juices worked.

I was so happy with my easy day to day vaping that I stopped reading the forums. I stopped into a B&M on the way out to a month offshore just to grab a backup tank and battery and saw the Atlantis. Say what you will, but the vape beats the nautilus as far as the amount of vapor and the effortless draw. The flavor is similar to my kayfun, but not as good as a dripper. I grabbed 2 of the aspire CF sub batteries... and oh my... they make the nautilus hit like a champ too... no wattage to mess with, no 18650s to pull out, no nitecore chargers to carry around. Just plug and play.

Now I have 2 nautilus tanks, 2 atlantis tanks, and 2 CF SUB batteries juice and some coils all in a little electronics case. I know I will get a satisfying vape with no hassle. I've never had a bad coil, but if I do I just swap in a new one. The only reason I still use the nautilus is because in my clinic or in a public place I don't want to flood the area with clouds of vapor.

If you live for dripping or rebuilding then the Atlantis isn't for you most likely. I was fairly happy with a kanger evod 2 years ago so the atlantis is light years ahead.

Can you imagine the new vapers walking out with a CF SUB, an atlantis and a bottle of juice for less than we used to pay for a protank II and and MVP?

Its a great product for what it is... I would have quit smoking in about 15 minutes if I had this set up 2 years ago. I envy the drippers and modders that have a vape experience so amazing that they wouldn't even consider an atlantis.... ( at home I do like to use my LEMO drop ) or my nimbus to try a new flavor....

I have to take most of what i said back. Even 35w is a total difference. At 40-45 watts, it vapes about 95% of anything i can build, and i do a good amount of sub-ohm, pissing contest style building. Im still bummed about the ceramic/fiberglass wicking material. I pulled apart a coil last night and the first thing i noticed was a metal mesh screen above all of the wicking material. It was seated evenly and looked like it would prob stop a good amount of unwanted material from being inhaled. That being said, i wont be buying any coils until the cotton ones come in.

As far as a plug and play clearo goes it is pretty darn amazing. I do look forward to 100% organic cotton coils. I don't believe there is fiberglass in there ( I may be wrong ). I do believe they are using paper/material treated with a ceramic coating to allow wicking but not burning. I would eat pink fiberglass before I would ever smoke another Marlboro.

As far as priming goes... I just fill it, let it sit for 5 -10 minutes, take a few deep draws with out pushing the button and its good to go. my only complaint is the tank size, but I have already seen 2 third party kits with 7 and 8ml tanks, and aspire is building one too.

I have heard aspire has a few other coils at different resistance coming out as well... could be interesting.

Im actually extremely happy with the Atlantis Tank...
Amazing cloud production ..lots of flavor.. very warm throat hit...very satisfying.
Im 3 weeks on the same coil. No dry hits..No leaking..No flooding.
If ceramic paper and non stainless steel parts are really an issue , that should be easily fixed by Aspire.
Im looking forward to the next phase of this Tank

I got an Atlantis and for me the performance is not what I expected it to be. I'm a dripper and I only got the Atlantis to avoid dripping while driving. For the reason I bought it, it kind of serves it's purpose so I'm not complaining. I do have one question though, I see in some posts people running it above 30 Watts and I did too but when I replaced my coil, I noticed that it says 20-30 Watts. It's printed on the coil itself. Is that the limit of the coil or is it their suggested range for good performance?

Also, if and when they release the cotton coils, how do we know which is which? If everyone thinks alike, no one will buy the old coils and sellers who don't care will still sell them until they finish off their inventory of old coils.

Like many said, there is a coil qc issue. I got my nautilus and the two 1.8 ohm coils it came with worked like magic! I could not believe it! Then I bought a pack of 1.6 ohm coils (all they had left in store) and they work for two days before they he a burn taste, and yes, I use lower volts. I'm going to grab some 1.8 coils tomorrow, if they suck, then it's time for an RDA

About 50% of my Atlantis coils tasted funky after only a few hours use. I tried different wattages. Every time the paper insulator around the coil would look burnt upon inspection. Even at 30 watts. I would love to see a higher ohm coil for this with a cotton wick. Or maybe even a macro coil type build with the coil wraps touching. With 150 watts now at my disposal, I don't really care about sub ohm. Give me more coil surface area!!

This is a lab certificate from Aspire website.

Oh, I'd rather eat fiberglass than inhale it. But that's just me. YMMV :)

Ctrl+F = No Atlantis or Atlantis Coils in PDF. :glare:

And the test was done in July. Atlantis came out in November. So lets put the crazy back in to the crayon box.

So the Atlantis coils are using a different kind of material? What is it? Could you tell me where you got that information? A link to the source would be helpful.

Could you tell me its not different? Do you have proof?????

Its very simple; do an independent lab certification out of your pocket in US ...or.... stop the witch hunt.

You keep saying Aspire is avoiding you and Aspire is bad... but you have 0 proof, other then some crappy lab result that i can type up in 5min in a Adobe Acrobat.

Yes and yes. :)

Aspire Support: •View topic - Aspire official statement on Atlantis coils material

Our patented ceramic paper has been tested by SGS, and shows there are no harmful chemicals or of off-gasses according the international standards currently in place.

And here's the SGS test result. Again.

This is not my crappy lab report. This a lab report provided by Aspire on their website and quoted by Aspire over and over.

I understand what you trying to do and it is truly nobble. But you keep peddling same outdated information month after month with out doing any kind of independent lab study right here in US or A, thus this is nothing more then a witch hunt.

You want proof that Aspire is a bad guy/girl and is harming its costumers??? Then get your wallet out and get the facts on your own for the world to see.

Buy 10 Atlantis coils from 10 different stores and send them to 10 labs. Yeah ... its that freaking simple!! 8th grade science 101.

Are you going to help pays for that? You've been given evidence and reason enough to be wary of using the product by a reputable person. Whether you choose to ignore it or pursue the information further is entirely up to you.
