Moved from redding ca. up here to northern mt. thinking i was saying goodbye to triple digit heat. Nope, we get the triple #'s along with the 40 below in winter. My little window a/c only does any good if i stand in front and pull my skirt up over it.

I lived in Montana for seven years. The great thing is that you won't get the heat for as long and it's pretty dry up there.

You get both extremes. Any chance you can move?

Descriptions about the humidity in some areas actually make me happy with the extremes around here. Nor cal was usually pretty dry too, though they often beat phoenix on the heat up in redding. It's too easy to whine when it hits 85+ in the house, but that's only a few hours in the afternoons. Suppose i could head on down to work and hang out in the walk-in freezer till i stop wishing for winter:unsure:

For all y'all that think Canada is that cold country covered in ice up north .. we hit 109F with the humidity in Toronto last week. It's been in the mid 80's this week, but is finally starting to cool down with some rain etc.

having braved about 36 miserable English winters i have been a decade in Texas and i don't much care for heat over 100f, but it's nice to have Xmas dinner with the patio doors open and 64f.

Working in it is a different animal and i drink about a pint of water an hour and gatorade too as well as using creams to protect against the dreaded 'raw 'sounds like 'parse''!

What's your median temperature in July?

Average is supposed to be in the low 80's.. so maybe high 80's to low 90's with humidity thrown in. But, the last two weeks we've seen high 80's to mid 90's without the humidex factor thrown in. The good thing is that it is offset by the amount of rain that we've received as well. Enough that we even had flooding in parts of the city three weeks ago.

Weird weather man!

Yes, I am peacefully vaping clouds of perfection out thru the screen door here in Georgia as I stand in my crib that is cooled to 75 degrees by mechanical air conditioning.

But yep, it's hot outside. I think I remember seeing 92 on my car readout and its like 100% humidity !

Sounds like another great day for the pool :)
