Alright, so let me just get down to it.


I have a vamo, and recently purchased a DID clone (it was on sale, so I decided "why not?"). What I need now is the materials, mesh and wire. I've seen a lot of different vendors selling them, but I'm having trouble finding a vendor that sells both. I would also like suggestions for what time of material. 32g wire? and 500 Mesh? After some light reading those are the items I think I'm looking for.



TL;DR:

Looking for a one stop shop for wire/mesh. Also would like to hear some suggestions for the best performance on a vamo, what size wire/mesh to get.

it is hard to get a good deal on both from the same place most of the times.
steam monkey and okc vapes have pretty good deals on the mesh, havent been to either in a while so not sure on the wire anymore, but going to somewhere like temco supply for the wire with low prices and free shipping takes the bite out of ordering at two places.

there shouldnt be much problem with a 32/500 setup. pretty easy to get it down.
some peoplego lower gauge because the wire is less fidgity for some but it all comes down to preference really

Alright, thanks. I decided to just go with temco for the wire and steam monkey for the mesh, as I imagine 6x12" for 7$ is worth it, assuming I'm not terrible at this, I can't imagine I'd use up that much mesh too quickly.

well most of the failure and trial and error is in the coil, not too much to ruin in a rolled up piece of mesh and after a time or two you know exactly how much to cut and then it gets very economical.
i ordered a 12x12 sheet in aug 2012 , and just used the last piece this week. but i also tried oh i dunno 9-10 different attys and lots of experimenting since then.. still have some of the first wicks laying around for backups sooo..........

I get my wire from Temco as well. As for mesh, I find the prices best if I search ebay. Different suppliers will have the best price on a given day. You likely won't go through mesh quickly. You're more likely to go through some wire, as you learn. Sometimes, probably more than necessary. Don't be quick to give up on a coil. Often times, what you might think is a terrible coil, can be made good, with some patience and tweaking.
