My first e-cig was a M401, similar to yours, smaller battery. I was never able to get any
decent vapor from it, there just isn't enough power and juice to satisfy (at least for me).
Depending on the amount you were smoking, and strength you smoked it may or may not
be an answer for you.
For me trading up to an 510/ego and KR808d1 styles were my sweet spot. Let us know more
about your smoking history, and you'll get more recommendations than you can handle.

Welcome to ECF I don't know anything about your particular model but someone who does is sure to be along soon. Don't be discouraged though, it can take a couple of attempts to find the right system for you. It's well worth it in the end.

The M402 is a mini. I haven't used it, but the 901 mini I started with had the same problem. I've moved on to a RiVa Ego, usually with an LR attomizer.
This happened to me too!!!, my sister got an M402, and from the get go the drag was hard as f...
One thing we did to correct this was blow from the threaded end of the atomizer, because sometimes primer liquid gets stuck there and it clogs the vent holes.
Other thing to try (only if its your last option and there's no other way of vaping it good), is making sure that the coil inside the atomizer is properly aligned.
You do this by taking a good look at the coil (a metal spring under the bridge that sits in a ceramic bowl) if it looks crooked and touching the bowl you can adjust it by gently pushing it to the center with a needle.
Remember, only try adjusting the coil if the atomizer doesn't vape.

Look where the 'filter' meets the battery. Do you see tiny airholes? There are probably 2 to 4 of them. Cover one or more with your finger while you're taking a long, slow draw on your ecig. Leave one of the holes open for airflow. And cup your hand over the lighted end while you're taking a drag. You should get a warmer, stronger experience. Hope that helps.
sorry to hijack the thread but im having this problem. the small metal wire below the atomizer has come out completely. is there anything i can do?
Yes it is hard to draw. It's a super-mini with a tiny juice cup and maybe you even made the mistake of buying auto batteries.
1. Superminis are weak and hard to draw
2. Autos are harder to draw than manuals
Unfortunately that is what you get when you go for looks instead of function. If you really want that look, get manual batteries and cut blue foam stuffing for the cart (cut down the precut blue foam for 510 from strictlyejuice.com)

mrpinkeye - the wick just fell out of any atomizer? Are you sure you didn't pull it out thinking it was a piece of stuffing? it is unlikely you will be able to fix it. Use your spare atomizer (which you hopefully have) and buy more atomizers.

Welcome to the forum. If you're looking for a better e-cig, we've got plenty of suggestions for you. I don't think you're going to be happy with the 402 for very long. I got myself a m401 to play with and haven't had any real problems. But, you can always do better. Good luck.
Does it look like a spring? How did it come off? If it is the coil then the atty is broken.

I started on M401 MANUAL. You hold the button in, it makes vape, and you can drag it as soft was you want. The blue foam stuffing, if cut properly, makes the cart flow better and make vapor more easily. And i used fairly thin juices like 70PG/30VG
Joye 510 manual and use Boge cartomizers on it with thin juices - it will vape really easy. SLim ecigs need to use the standard resistance cartomizers. I use no more than 20% VG in cartomizers.

If you really want to keep this e cig than do like dormouse said. Replace that white filler crap in the cartridge with blue foam. You should be able to find it at most pet stores. It's used for fish tank filters. It comes in soft spongy sheets and it is cheap. It will ease the draw and wick a lot better. That's what I would do first before spending more money on a better PV.
I had the drawing problem on a intelicig evo supermini. At the start you really, really had to suck on that thing. It took forever to primer puff and at first I was convinced it was broken. Eventually it kicked into life and actually, I found it to give surprising amounts of vapour. But the eve used ECOpure liquid which is 100% VG, hence the vapour. It tasted horrible however (like vaping soil...) and the EVO as a kit left me irritated. Switch up to at least a 510 manual switch model (the Titan is good IMO) and you'll not get any drawing issues from it at all.

I ask because I had this same to much resistance taking a drag problem when I first got mine. My response was to immediately get out the dremel and make two more notches on the battery so that there would be four total evenly spaced, this made taking a drag a little easier and didn't seam to affect the amount of vapour.
Again let me say that I don't have the exact same ecig so YMMV.

I also started with a mini (m401) and couldn't quit smoking with it...I eventually got a Go-Go and I've been smoke free for almost a month now. I know you probably hate the idea that your first purchase may be a bust, but if you can afford it, I highly recommend moving on and getting something better. One feature of the Go-Go that I really like is the easy draw--big consistent hits with very little effort!
