The Rise of the E-Cigarette
Chris Choi looks at the debate surrounding electronic cigarettes, revealing what is in them and how they work, why some countries have banned them and how they might be subject to stricter regulations in the future. Plus, interviews with some of the product's most ardent critics and supporters.
In just seven years E-cigarettes have grown from an obscure Chinese import to being at the centre of one of the biggest public health debates for a generation. Chris Choi looks at what is in them, why some countries have banned them while others have welcomed them as a lifesaver, and how they could be regulated in the future.

So I watched the Youtube version. The first thing that struck me was the error they made in identifying the components of a cig-a-like. They mixed up which piece was the battery and which was the cartridge. It made me wonder if their attention to detail in the balance of the show would be similar. Although they appeared to be trying to do a balanced show, I would say they were about 70/30 in anti to pro ecig in terms of how the information was presented. I was pleased to see that the final sequence was a reinforcement of the concept that ecigs are at least a better alternative to smoking combustable cigarettes.

I was wondering why the said there was oil in e-cigs? That would make them dangerous to get oil into you lungs and why did they interview the tobacco company that is coming out with e-cigs? And you are right they got the e-cig components wrong, So I give it a Thumbs down.......Will they ever get it right?
