Please Help! I now use a high-quality KR8 that when fully charged rates about 4.2v, but falls off to a steady 3.7v when vaping.

Since I vape A LOT, I decided to purchase some 2ml blank megacartos from Ikenvape. Feeling bold, I went ahead and ordered a pack of the KR8 regular megas and a pack of the KR8 LR megas.

Now: (1) Are both suitable for my voltage PV?
(2) Is one better for use with higher vg (40-60%) juices?
(3) Is one better for lower vg (0-30%) juices?
(4) Are there pg/vg ratios I should avoid with either model of carto?

Finally, what are the answers to (1) - (4) above if I get a modified KR8 that runs at 5-6v?

Thanks a million for this newb who outsmarted herself!

The regular megas would be. With any LR atomizer/carto it is recommended by most vendors to use them only on batteries that are rated 440mAh or above. The reason for that is the resultant wattage is more than smaller batteries are equipped to handle.

(2) Is one better for use with higher vg (40-60%) juices?

When the vg is cut first with distilled water - which reduces it's viscosity, there should be no problem. Basically that's hard to figure unless the vendor so states it but if you have one that is particularly thick, it could cause some problems. You pretty much have to do trial and error and you'll know soon enough from the draw and wicking. Continued vaping with thick juice could gum up the atty but in general this shouldn't be a problem unless you're DIYing and not diluting the VG at all.

(3) Is one better for lower vg (0-30%) juices?

I vape all VG but the VG is already diluted 80:20 with H2O and I have no problems.

(4) Are there pg/vg ratios I should avoid with either model of carto?

Again, it depends on how the VG has been blended and you'll get a whole range of opinions - I vape VG exclusively and haven't had a problem with cartos, fillers or tanks with no filler.

Finally, what are the answers to (1) - (4) above if I get a modified KR8 that runs at 5-6v?

Although there are some who vape at 5 volt using LR attys in the 1.7-2.0Ω range, I find that for longer life of the atty/carto - 2.5Ω is a minimum and flavor can be affected with too much wattage. At 6 volt, I want something in the 3.4-4.2Ω range.
