decided to get the bmf a try but.....they are sold out of them....i got a kit coming from v4l...ordered it before i read about the bmf....and i have to agree with your comments about new people vaping. ive been vaping for 4 months and there are a couple of us just starting. the 510 starter kits from joyetech were given to us as gifts. our friend bought them and he put " for you, because i will miss you when youre gone" on the gift tag. so we started and have told other smokers about them. i like the 510 because it felt like an analog...it was kinda like a pacifier to me. but after lurking through this forum and deciding to join...i am learning even more. i want to see what this kr808 ever1 talks about is like so i ordered one from v4l... maybe ill like it enough to try out the bloog. hope they get more in soon. thanks for the help....and no as of now theres no way a mod would ever be practical in my life so im very thankful that there are 510s and so on. otherwise i would have never tried them.

UPDATE: I am in love with my Maxxy! Even my Leo is feeling a little jealous.

And I have ordered more MaxX Fusion cartomizers ... actually paying for them myself! [Folks, that says something.]

Subsequent to publishing the review, Leaford has explained to me the reason for a pleasurable aspect of the Maxxy that I wasn't consciously aware of at the time: It feels comfortable between the fingers ... because of the rubberized coating on the battery.

This is one great PV!

I've had 510 stuff, and KR808D-1 stuff blows 510 out of the water for an 'analog-like' PV. The new auto switch is instant, just like puffing on an analog. Bloog got caught by their product becoming popular right when Chinese New Year hit, so they've had stocking problems. They've stated that everything will be back in stock within two weeks -- it's been manufactured, now they're just waiting on shipping time.

This is one great PV!

Thanks for the update, Don. I continue to use mine on a daily basis. It's keeping me off analogs, and that was the goal.

I have the mini MaxX Fusion and a regular Fusion. I ordered them back in December, along with some carts. My first issue is that the mouth end of the carts never worked as described. When I dripped, the juice just sat there. I would have to suck in on the battery end to pull the juice in. So, for me, that addition to the carts is a waste. Secondly, I didnt feel at all that the carts out lasted or out performed other carts that cost dollars less per pack. Thirdly, the carts I get from my current supplier, dont thread onto the MaxX Fusion mini!!! They DO thread onto the regular Fusion battery. The problem with that battery is that the switch doesnt like to kick on right away. To compensate for that, Im forced to take a hard draw on an otherwise easy hitting battery making it a less than enjoyable experience. All in all, not what I expected from two $20 batteries, and carts that are $11 per pack. I'd love someone to change my mind.

Nice review, Don. I guess the Maxxy doesn't hit like a good VV PV, so I will be passing on it. Do they have plans for a manual battery?
Thanks, wv2win! Actually, they have just made available a combo auto/manual/passthrough model called the Trifecta – bringing to reality a longtime dream of Leaford's. I know nothing more about it, other than the cost ($32) and what it looks like:

trifecta.jpg

Don't throw out the cartos when they taste funky or burnt. Just pull out the polyfill and drip 2 drops at a time...VAPING HEAVEN!
Great tip, attymiser! I'll try it. We need to be careful, however, when doing this with the automatic batteries: remember that they're not sealed. Vapenstein ruined one of his $20 Maxxy batts by filling the carto while connected to the battery.

Wondering if anyone who has either or both can comment. What is the difference between the pcc for the mini and the standard Maxx? Size? How much they hold?(looked at pics on the site but can't really tell)
These seem like a nice upgrade from 808's due to the consistency of the vape!
Size and functionality ... and pizazz. Each holds the battery being charged plus two cartomizers. [A standard-sized Kr8 batt will not fit in the Mini PCC, of course.] The Mini PCC can hold a fully assembled Mini unit (batt and carto) in lieu of those two cartos. The Mini PCC is lighter weight and shows the PCC charge remaining. And it is really slick! Whether it is worth the extra ten bucks is in the eye (and wallet) of the beholder.

You may want to consider Bloog's $100 Ultimate Starter (MAXX Fusion), including two full-sized batts, five cartos, the standard PCC, and a PT. Although I'm finding that vaping a super-mini is neat! I could go through life with just this and my Leo and be content.

Actually that NHaler PCC kit is a pretty good deal. Like the same-priced Bloog Mini PCC kit, it is a full kit, including two batteries and six cartos. NHaler's PCC charges two batteries simultaneously and hold all six cartos. How the quality of those batts and cartos compares with Bloog's I don't know. I've not seen any reviews.

And the KR808D-1 Style Smart PCC Kit is a very good deal: $39 for what appears to be the same fancy PCC as Bloog's plus a batt and three cartos. Same caveat about batt and atty quality.

Don, you die your hair white just to look more distinguished, right??
Just the other way around: For many years, I dyed my white hair brown. Last summer, as I saw 65 approaching, I said the heck with it and also grew a beard.

I changed my avatar to the real me so people would know who the heck I am when I show up at vapers meetings. Thus the new title under my screen name: "The Don behind the DaBoom." [FYI: DaBoomVape is not my real last name.;)]

Consider trying the DSE906 from Apollo E-cigarettes | High Quality Best Price Ecigs It sells for $49 and is IMO a very good match for the Bloog MaxxFusion. No PCC yet, but the price, the quality, and the customer service is fantastic.

Apollo Extreme Starter Kit
1. This starter kit contains the DSE906 e-cigarettes which use cartomizers with the latest 2-piece design and technology.
2. There are two 280mAh batteries and 5 cartomizers in the kit
3. Apollo 906 e-cigarette has extra long battery and cartomizer - total length is 123mm
4. Apollo 906 e-cigarette offers about 300 puffs
5. The kit also includes a USB charger, a wall adaptor, and a car charger
6. 5 FREE cartomizers with flavors of your choice

Thanks for the clarification. I looked at the PCC and didn't notice it said KIT! lol, thought there is no way I am buying a pcc for $90. Although the kit for that price is really a great deal. I guess I will wait to see what kind of reviews it gets. I am interested in the BMF mainly because it is 808, and the amazing reviews it has been getting.

Vapor Pete, how does the mini perform with just the carts? (not dripping, I haven't tried that yet). All the reviews I am reading seem to emphasize the bloog batts and carts. Do you feel it performs well in that regard?
