I've narrowed it down to vamo V2 or a Lava Tube V2...I am tired of researching!

I am mentally exhausted from research! WOW there are a lot! I have only Been vaping for a little over three weeks and have been using the tsunami battery I bought at a local CIG shop upgraded the tank that come with it to an EVOD and a Kanger Pro tank! The Pro tank makes the flavors of my juices luscious! I think I am ready for the next step. I just don't think my tsunami battery is doing my Pro tank & EVOD justice....the vaping is good and warm the first hourish... So Which one is better as far as quality, durability and function? What are the dimensions of these two, the Lava Tube mini V2 and the Vamo V2 (without extentions) I'm still wanting to keep things compact but with the ability to keep my vaping consistent. Plus I am drawn to all the bells and whistles of both, without breaking the bank! I am not a heavy Vaper, about 2 ml of juice per day so I don't need a huge battery. Please help I am just a baby vaper crawling and I want to start walking!

Hi again , but between those two , I would go with the Vamo . Although lately a lot of people have been having some problems with them . Mostly from screwing down the devices , too much . You might want to take a look at the Sigelei Zmax , V2 , or V3 . V2 , is a regular tube type PV , the V3 is a telescoping version , of the same device . I have Vamo's as well as the Sigelei's and like them all , but the Zmax's are less prone to problems . IMHO . Good luck

Also forgot to mention , If you go with the Vamo , order a SS version , as the chrome , and black chrome finishes , don't hold up very well . They are finger print magnets , and the finish is very thin , and scratches very easily .

My chrome finish started wearing after about three weeks of steady use, but for the price difference that most vendors charge I just couldn't justify the SS one! Nothing a little j-wrap or even a DIY contact paper wrap can't take care of!

I don't have a LavaTube, so can't do a comparison, but I can provide rough dimensions for the VAMO:

Diameter: 22mm or 0.87"
Height in 18350 mode: 105mm or 4.2"
Height in 18650 mode: 137mm or 5.4"

Durability? Well, I did succeed in destroying my first VAMO with one too many drops onto tile and concrete surfaces from counter height. My second VAMO has already been dropped twice from chair height onto concrete and it's still going strong. I really should invest in some sort of harness/lanyard for it since I like using it all day.

Both of mine are SS. I have read and seen photos of the gun metal (black chrome) finish coming off for no apparent reason. I've been tempted by those JWraps, too, but never hit the trigger on one.

Statistic, does the carbon fiber provide a better grip for damp hands? I'm tired of dropping my VAMO.

I was faced with the same decision myself not too long ago. I decided on the Vamo BECAUSE the Lavatube does not have VW. Otherwise they are similar devices.

I do have the stainless steel Vamo and my comment is...It is SLIPPERY. I had to wind a couple of rubberbands around it to give me some grip LOL. Eventually I will probably JWrap it.

Otherwise it has been a fantastic little gadget. Very happy with it.

If you're looking for a VV/ VW starter mod, and want a smaller form factor I would highly recommend the iTaste SVD. It's telescoping which gives you the option of changing it's size to your liking. Also it has more versatility than the other two devices you mentioned, and comes with two iClear 30 clearomizers which I believe you would enjoy going by your original post. Good luck! :)
