Thank you everyone!! It doesn't look too horrible I suppose. I think it would be okay for the harsher juices here and there but not something I would want to use when I am on the go. I'm just starting up, and I'm in the process of finding things I like and don't like. My 650mAH battery lasts me 2 days on one charge since I don't vape a lot, and I use the 5 push feature to turn it off when not in use, so it is fitting for what I need, but maybe I could do a 900mAH or even an 1100mAH battery just for the use of the pro tank....I will figure something out. I like the vivi nova mini metal tanks, but I can't seem to find a cheap knock off version to do a test run on, same with the MT3's. I LOVE my CE4's so I'd like to stay close to that size. I appreciate all of the pictures, and your set up's look amazing!! I can't wait to finally find something I can be happy vaping all day, then I can buy more goodies lol. I never knew quitting smoking was so much fun!!

I got a mini vivi nova metal tank from myvaporstore.com and it looks great and works great on my ego twist. Just my experience.

I seen those and was slightly interested but the only issue I have is that there is no window to see how much juice is left. I placed an order for 2 of those vivi nova pyrex tanks that Ocelot posted. I got one for me and one for my husband. I will likely order more if I like them.

That is the only draw back. I just open it and tilt and look. If it needs more then I refill. I really like it though. My evod's are great but the vivi makes a really warm vape which I love!

Adding on to the top-heavy nature of a ProTank on an Ego with a question of my own...sorry, not meaning to hijack, but I keep my Ego sitting next to me standing up as I work on my computer pretty much all day. I'll knock it over at least a half-dozen times a night reaching for it...no problem with an Evod on top so far, but should I be worried about breaking the glass on the ProTank? Is it okay to leave the whole setup laying on its side for a prolonged period to avoid the knocking-it-over problem in the first place?

Shouldn't be an issue leaving it lying down. Or you could just get a shot glass or you could get one of these Transparent Acrylic KGO/EGO stand - just be careful though, some batteries don't fit. I suggest contacting them to check if yours will.

I just have a 2 X 4 cut down to about 6 inches across and drilled out to fit my Vamo and a couple of Spinners - it's not pretty, but it saves my glass table (and the wife and dog are much happy not being scared half to death with regular CRASH as I knock it over for the 5th time that evening)

Why not put it in a coffee cup or pen holder?

I use a coffee mug and a flat bottom vase I found at a thrift store:

I like that little holder thing...almost as much as I like your other idea of just drilling out a piece of 2x4 scrap. Thanks also serendipitee and Ocelot for the simple fix!

Yes, It's not pretty, but it works a treat. When I can be bothered I might actually sand it down and stain it (no, I won't)

I was initially thinking something pretty, sanded and stained...but I probably won't. Wish I had a pic of the setup I had in my early 20s to stop people from stealing the lighter that set next to my ashtray - Bic wrapped in duct tape with a piece of twine running to two 2x4 cutoffs, one above and the other below the umbrella hole on my glass patio table. Think of it as the redneck version of the chain banks use to stop you from stealing their pens.

OMG, that set up is a thing of beauty. Is there a place that sells it all together like that? What do I call it?
I'm new to this and have no idea how to order all the separate parts.
I looked on the Digital Cig website but couldn't find it all together in a package like that.

I don't know of a site that sells them altogether, but those are eGo type batteries, with tanks and a thread cover/sleeve. Those are DCT tanks, but Vivis look the same with a cover. I bought my cover from Digital Cig (I think they call it a sleeve) because they have it in black (most vendors only have silver). If you don't mind silver, other places have it for less.

ETA: The Protank comes with what I think they call a fashion sleeve for an eGo. It's similar to the "C" type, but is slightly narrower to be flush with the Protank.

So to get this set up, purchase:
an eGo battery
a 3.5ml DCT cartomizer + an eGo sleeve cone (D) OR a 6.5ml DCT cartomizer tank + an eGo sleeve cone (?)
That's it? Sorry to be so dense, this stuff really is confusing to a newbie.

Yes...but

The 6.5ml tank in the picture has a "C" sleeve cone. I have both "D" and "C" cones, and personally, I don't like the size of the "C" on an eGo. If you look closely at the picture I posted, the "C" sticks out slightly beyond the tank - it's more noticeable in real life. It's also a tiny bit wider the the Protank "beauty ring."

If you want that stream-lined look, but don't want a carto tank, the "D" size will make a mini Vivi Nova (aka slim) flush with an eGo, that's what's it made for. Be aware, none of the rings are perfectly flush. There is a small gap for air flow. I'm not a gotvapes fan, but they have good pictures. This is a "D" with a mini Vivi Nova. If you go back a page, there is also a "C" pictured.

eGo Thread Sleeve Type D Small Tank - Fits All Std eGos CHROME [gv-egoTYPED-SmallTankeGoThreadSl] - $2.95 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

THANK YOU! Everyone here is so cool, so helpful to us new vapers.
Looks like I will have to act sooner than I had anticipated, my clearomizer appears to have just bitten the dust and it's the only one I have. :(
This calls for a trip to the Vapor Bar. Wee ha!!

Oh, I'm sorry about your clearo, but it's nice you have a local vape store you like!

Aglet, that is my main concern. I don't want to ruin my Evod's or clearo's with high citric/acidic juices so I did get the off brand pro tank to test out to see if I like it. I probably won't make it my go too system, but will use it when I use the high corrosive juices.

I wouldn't worry too much about juices and your evod. Since you already ordered from Fasttech, you already know that you can get the ten pack at about $2.45 a piece. And...most juices either won't affect it, or it will take a good while to do so. I use one of those "know juices", i.e., cinnamon, that breaks down the plastic in my clearos. I've yet to have any problem in almost six months of use. I do rotate my gear, and clean my gear carefully every two or three days, so maybe that's why I haven't had a problem.

Back to your original question, the protank will be a bit top heavy on a 650 mAh ego, for sure, and it's certainly not a stealth look that many use the smaller batteries for. Like Aglet said, your evod or T3s will look great and sleek for sure. Anyway, glad you made it, congrats on getting here, good luck and Vape On!!

Actually, it will be my first trip there, to a shop I heard about here just a day ago or so. Good timing.
On my way, will be sure to let them know I heard about them on ECF, I love this place!
