So i have been switching in between a variety of tanks lately, including the kanger pro tank, vivi nova, and others in the sort. But to be completely honest i like to keep it simple with my j tank and my texas tuff tank, i use a Cylon VV (or the old lava tube) and i'm purchasing a VAMO, and possibly the Pro Vari...anyone else like to just keep it simple? And also anyone that has any interesting tanks with a 510 connection post them here, i'm looking to expand to something new. (still a relatively new vaper here)

Hi Gasher. So I agree with the simple method. On the question of tanks with 510 connection. I personally enjoy my AGR carto tank, with a Lr Boge at about 5.2volts. Couple that with the fact you cant pull the tank off the carto and you have a durable, easy feed system. Especially since you are already accustomed to the tank type syatems this could be a great it for you. If you like the flanged cartos then you may like the Artemas tank(also has a different name that I cant think of), it was intended for the Smoketech type flanged long cartos and it too has a threaded base and locking ring which keeps the tank in place around the carto.

I loved the performance of almost all the carto tanks I had tried in the past, but I am rather rough on my equipment and could not go more than a day without popping the tank off any of the other type carto tanks , thereby causing a great big mess.. Hope you find what you are looking for. Happy Vaping.

I am curious how any tank could be more simple than a Protank? I am really asking, because I personally have found most other tanks more of a pain to fill/refill than the Protank.

I will also admit that I hate the filling of trying to colapse a lung to get a good draw when using carto-tanks, not to mention the muted flavor (I am just adding that in, as that wasn't in your statement/question).

Any feedback will be appreciated.

What I've found is that every piece of hardware in vaping has pluses and minuses and there are people that love em and those that hate em.

Issues I can think of are cost, ease of filling, tilt/twirl required, how finicky it all is, maintenance frequency, maintenance procedures, and I'm sure I'm missing a bunch more factors. Everyone will weight these factors differently. Define 'pain to fill'. I see no difference between needing to use a syringe and being able to fill from a bottle. Not everyone will see it this way. Every opinion is right for the person who likes it.

There is also a big difference between clearo tanks and carto tanks. Lots of variables in this mix. I don't think of clearos as tanks, but that's just me. Which one is the simplest? The one that you like best :thumb:

All Kanger bottom coil changeable clearomizers are just as simple as ProTank--same design.

If you're having problems with carto tank it's user error--I use both (ProTank and carto tanks) and the hit off a good carto tank with a nice Boge carto inside is still the best. Carto tanks are fiddly, and some people object to the polyfill taste, but as far as performance and vapor production they are hard to beat.

Top coil clearos are my least favorite--I hate long wicks and they all taste off to me...

I spend 70% of my time vaping a simple 1300 spinner with a CE5 or a T3 / EVOD. That's my throw in my pocket, take to work, out to dinner setup. Other 30% is a vamo with a protank or a mini nova metal.
I have to say I like the CE5's for ease of use, and I've had minimal issues with dry hits and burnt taste - but nothing really compares to the mini nova, it's the one I find myself reaching for more often than any other when at home. Good thing with the mini nova is that it doesn't look bad on the spinner or the vamo and it is very well made with no leaks, no dry hits, no mess, no fuss. I'm going to get some more vivi / mini novas for sure.

That all said, I'm only three weeks in to the vaping journey so who knows... I still haven't tried everything so I don't know if I like anything else!

I didn't say I was having problems with cartotanks. I just don't like collapsing a lung to use one. Other bottom feeding Kangers, I couldn't tell you about. I will not use plastic for juice again, as the flavor is just plain bad.

I will admit I can get good vapor from a cartotank, but I can get the same cloud from a Protank. As you say performance, that is a broad term and I can't speak to that, as I don't want to put words in your mouth.

Top coils, see above with my plastic response and add the hot vape to it. The hot vape is not anything I want again, as I loose a lot of the flavor in that.

Either way I like the fact that there are so many options, because it is clear we like different options for our own vaping enjoyment. :toast:

That's exactly my point--the draw from my carto tanks is easy and responsive--I never had to "collapse a lung" while using it. :) The draw on a good carto, with or without tank, properly filled, should be as easy as any other device. If it isn't, then there is a problem--either with the carto or the tank or the way it's being used.

You did ask for feedback. ;)

It's all good.

Happy vaping.

Honestly, I have tried so many different things in terms of tanks, but as far as simplicity my all time fave is BY FAR the setup below.

Provari with the Kir Fanis Prive Special Tank. Absolutely love it.....Find what you love and stick with it. I still enjoy trying new things, but I always go back to this setup....
