Hip on the sale, too!
Nice to see you here! This is a fine bunch, much like the random diy thread. Mine both arrived pretty quickly to Louisiana. Fingers crossed you get it in your mitts soon!I ordered mine I think 6 days ago? Kat just directed me here from the tootle puffers thread.
It said 7-15 days for US delivery so I guess I better be watching the mailbox extra close starting tomorrow. I'm guessing to get to OK it will be on the longer end of that range though. It isn't like I don't have a good setup for in the meantime, but I want my new toy!
I did get the sale price though, which is nice cause I didn't even know there was a sale. I wondered why the black one was cheaper.
When you get some time and a hair up yourWell I went to the post office over lunch and picked it up. I'm in the waiting room for my doctor's appointment now so I'm not vaping it at this very moment, but I tried it out on the way here.
First impression is that it is heavy. Maybe it's just the Goby is tiny so this seems large by comparison. Seems to vape nice though, I like how the power setting is in 0.1 W increments. So I normally vape on the Goby at 12 W, and the next step up is 13 W. 12 is a little cool and 13 is a little warm. So I set the JAC to 12.5 and went with it, and that seems like a sweet spot. Very nice.
I'm hoping battery life on these 18650s is going to be another benefit. Between the two Gobys I can easily vape all day at home, but when I went out with some friends the other night I was a bit concerned about how long the battery would last as neither mod was fully charged when I left. I got some 2500 mAh 18650s and I think they'll last longer, and since I have 3 of them and a 2-bay charger there should always be a fresh one for me to grab.
When you get some time and a hair up youryou might want to give the temp control a spin.
Sounds like fun. I'm not certain the Goby coils I'm using are temperature control compatible though. (They have to be nickel or stainless steel, right?)When you get some time and a hair up youryou might want to give the temp control a spin.
They can be a number of different materials. SS, titanium, nickel, others. Seems stainless has risen to the top of the heap for most people.Sounds like fun. I'm not certain the Goby coils I'm using are temperature control compatible though. (They have to be nickel or stainless steel, right?)

Where've you been? Just finishing shoveling the snow off your driveway? Is that a safe combination?![]()

I haven't noticed the battery door being wiggly on mine. Odd.I just got my black series b dna 75 and it seems great but I don’t love the wiggegly battery door but I’m just being picky. Otherwise love the soft touch wish the battery door was the same.
And maybe I'm crazy on this part, it could be in my head because I don't really get why the power source would have anything to do with it, but I could swear I'm getting a more consistent, smoother vape. I wonder if that has to do with the power control being more accurate and precise on this device. Otherwise it must be my imagination.
I suspect that's the case, I'm just trying to wrap my head around the physics of it. Everything else being equal (I'm using the same tank, juice, and coil as before)...electricity is electricity. 12 watts to the same coil should give you the same vape no matter what mod it comes from. The only thing I can think of is that the DNA 75 is more accurate and consistent about delivering that power. 12 watts all the way through the hit, on every hit, while the Goby may be giving me 12 for a bit, then 11.5, then 12.5, because the regulation isn't as precise. It is the DNA 75 that provides the smooth consistent vape.
