I think the TC on my older Jac(12/17) has gone haywire. After vaping for awhile the vape starts to fade like maybe the wicking was not keeping up and the tc is backing it off. So I rebuilt a few times to see if I could improve the wicking, no luck. It would vape fine for awhile, then start backing off. I finally turned tc off, and went wattage, and it's been fine since, about 3 days now.
Are you toward the end of the battery charge cycle?

:( :( :( :(

Jac1.JPG

Started when I dropped it on concrete and chipped paint off the base. Then it wore through on the sharp edges. Then tiny bubbles appeared under the paint. Lately I just pick at it with my thumbnail while I vape.

I think once the rest of paint is gone I might try polishing the metal. Not sure what metal it is. soft like aluminium judging by the scrapes from when I dropped it, but with a greyish color like zinc.

Does anyone do wraps for this mod?

I love it anyway. It hit the concrete from chest height and didn't miss a beat. Thinking of getting another one, or maybe a Sandstorm version. I like the sand color but I don't have any wider tanks.

I got the Dark Tamo Wood. Here's a pic, altho a little blurry, but maybe good enough to give you an idea.

Thanks. Does it cover the sloping area at the top?

Never put a skin on a mod before. Wondering whether I should get 2 in case of screw-ups.

And wow, what timing. Vapor Skinz is have a 35 off sale for the 4th of July!

Cheers.

That is good timing. Must be a sign that the universe wants me to get a skin for the Jac. I'll post a pic here when I get it together. Thinking about red.

Not having used a skin before, should I take the rest of the paint off to level the surface, or will the skin cover it up?

IMO, the skin will not show the paint line.
