Why do I have to keep hunting for a good temp and watt setting on my Jac. I'll have it set where I like it, and after awhile without the numbers changing, all of a sudden it's too hot. For instance I was vaping at 375F, and 35 watts, then wow, way too hot. I went in and started re adjusting and ended up at 335F, and 20w. After awhile, I'll have to go raise it back up again. I'm using SS wire. If I put in a new coil the same thing will happen again in awhile.

I think it might be your wire? I've found SS actually changes quite a bit during the process of vaping.... It's like it heats up slowwwllly and changes resistance, then the same thing happens as it cools? I kinda thought I was coiling wrong at first or something... It can be a bit annoying.

I could be completely wrong, in which case, someone please tell me... :)

That's odd. What atty are you using? And does it do the same thing with other attys?

I donno... but... often problems like that are due to a bad or flakey connection at the coil screws or somewhere else in the atty. Hence, repeating Bronze's question, what kind of atty are you using?

I have problems with that also sometimes. Sometimes it won't flash the temp protection message either, but I can see the temp is being limited. I'm also using SS, on a KFL+.
Over the weekend I gave the KFL a good cleaning, taking the center pin out and wiping all the buildup off as well. It's done pretty good since then.

Had my frist problem with the jac, today i was cleaning my 510 threads and noticed the positive pin is pushed all the way down :( still makes contact, and has a springiness to it but its flush with the bottom. ive just contacted jac. still a little sad since i take very good care of it, maybe i gave it to much love lol. Time to break out the back up now.
