I was eyeing the earlier jac dna 75 but would like to know what upgrades or changes are there in the newer sandstorm one before pulling the trigger

I don't think there are really any upgrades. The chip is the same as far as I know (someone might correct me). The main difference is the size. The Series B original is a 22mm mod. The Sandstorm is 25mm. So depending on what kind of atty you plan on using it will determine which one you want. The only other difference I see is the finish.

I've been using the black JAC for about two months. Love it. It's my daily setup, so it goes out of the house with me. I'm a little disappointed in the rubbery black finish. It was beginning to show quite a bit of wear, so I got a vinyl skin to protect it. I use a Uwell Crown subohm tank on top. 0.5 ohm coils at 30 - 40 watts. I get about a day's use with a single Samsung 30Q 3000mah 20 amp battery.

I purchased the Sandstone version for my son for his Christmas gift. Everything appears to be the same except for the finish and the slightly extended lips on top and bottom surfaces to accomodate a larger tank and make it more stable standing up. The sandstone finish "looks" and "feels" like it is anodised. I suspect it will be much more durable to wear and tear than the black. I read that the sandstone is slightly heavier, but holding both in two hands I can't tell the difference. The lips don't affect the comfort level in the hand or in a pocket.

Same chip display and buttons from what I can tell. Same 510.

I've actually been using the Sandstone for the past two days. Obviously I have no fear that I will marr its finish. It's pretty tough. If I were to buy another, I'd definitely get the Sandstone.

I do recommend if you put your mod in your pocket that you get into the habit of turning the mod off (5 clicks) as the button is pretty sensitive to touch.

Bad's assessment was 100% consistent with what I've heard from some other friends, but I'll open their windows to see if any wish to chime in. I don't know everything (understatement of the century).

@gnees , @JUMA55 , @Freedom2Vape ...

I agree with everything Bad said. I did buy the sandstone for a larger atty, because I do love my black JAC. I do like the feel of the black a little better. But it is showing some wear on it now.

I do like..

JAC Sandstone, w/18650, no tank, 6.07oz, 172.2g

JAC DNA75, w/18650, no tank, 5.92oz, 167.9g

The Sandstone feels heavier to me, and it is, but not by much.

How much are the 25 mm Sandstorm Jac's including shipping to the USA? I know there was some special price for the 22mm Jac but i can't find anything for the 25 mm. Thank you in advance.

I don't see a US discount at this time either, Dub. From their site, it's showing $81.99 shipped. Seems that's a lower price than what they were a few weeks ago, no?

Mine was:
Subtotal $81.99
Shipping & Handling $15.38
Grand Total (Excl.Tax) $97.37

I think it was worth it. One of the members asked me yesterday about the rubber finish. No rubber on the Sandstone, save for the buttons. All metal. Very nice metal work. Good feel in the hand. Similar to my ProVari Ti's. Not much difference in the weight. I measured:

JAC DNA75, w/18650, no tank, 5.92oz, 167.9g

JAC Sandstone, w/18650, no tank, 6.07oz, 172.2g

Compared to others:

Radius, w/18650, no tank, 6.82oz, 199.3g

SX Mini ML Class, w/18650, no tank, 9.32oz, 264.3g

I have both and actually prefer the Sandstorm's look and feel. The bigger "lip" isn't really noticeable IMO. Here is a picture for comparison...the Sandstorm with a KF5 and the original with a KF Prime. Both are excellent devices! I ordered on Thanksgiving day with free shipping, 2 batteries, 30ml e-liquid and a charger for less than $85.

when ever i put my original uwell crown on the Jac,
it flashes ohms too low.

the coil reads .57
and a NI appears on the Jac menu screen.

i am pretty sure the uwell .5 coils are kanthal.

any thoughts on what's going on?
Sounds like it thinks you have TC coil (Nickel). Try locking the power/temperature setting and then double pressing the up or down button to change the coil/material type until you get to Watts/Power?

oh my gosh so my directions ob temp control where complicated. it took me an hour to figure out how to try to get to coil material. apparently it's power and the plus and minus button while locked.. but directions say just plus and minus, which goes to temp control.

so i've never messed with temp control before. right now i set it to 380...
am i safe lol? it was 400 i think.

i don't see any indicator saying wether you are in temp control or not.
i did change the material to SS and it seems to be working fine now.

the only issue i'm having is some serious popping. but i did just clen the tank, maybe water??
