Anyone know what the coating on the new black 23mm is. I sent jac vapour an email to see if it is the same as the old 22mm but havent heard back from them yet. I hope its not the same as the old 22mm. I have 2 sandstorms. Im thinking about ceri coating one of them black but if the new b series has a decent coating on th hem ill just buy a new black one.

Since it was only announced today, I doubt if anyone will know more than that which the website says: "Featuring an updated, super-hard black bonded coating". We'll have to wait until the first deliveries are made to critical users to learn what the coating is.

Jac vapour just responded to my question
Pre ordering one

Thanks for getting in touch.

Whereas the original SERIES-B had a rubber-coated finish, our new Black Edition SERIES-B has a metallic alloy finish with a matte, fingerprint-resistant coating. We also hope to release a new 23mm tank with the same finish in the new year.

Hope this helps.

I have and like one of his mods.
But, I (having worked in marketing some years ago) did not like his answer to the question "are your liquids produced in house".
So, he said the recipes are, the initial draft is, only use ISO lab...
Never said yes or no. Evasive. Yes or no is a good answer if you're not hiding.

    Somewhere between here and there
I recently picked up a dna 75 sandstorm 25mm from a friend who bought it, made sure it worked , and put it back in the box so it’s like brand new. I’m not familiar with the jac or dna boards so I was hoping someone could answer a question for me. Is it normal for the screen to go dark when you press the fire button? It vapes fine but noticed this morning that the display turned off when I press the fire button.

Hitt, I don’t think “normal” applies to the DNA. You need to go to the Evolv website and download the escribe software for the DNA 75. From there, you hook up your JAC and set up your DNA to do all kind of things. Not sure how savvy you are at that sort of thing but if you are you should be able to figure out the display function. If not, someone here or on one of the evolve threads should be able to help you out.

Might even be a reset to default option on the escribe.

Thanks. I am fairly computer literate and have updated a couple non dna mods so I think I can figure it out.

I "agreed" with @Baditude as to stealth mode but on reflection I feel that can't be the case, if that were so then the screen wouldn't dim but be constantly dark. It is worthwhile going to the Evolve website, install their software, download your device settings to their software and check to see what the "Fading" settings are. It is possible that they are set to a very quick fade time.
If not I suggest you contact JAC at Contact Us | JAC Vapour, I have found them a helpful bunch.

Thanks bronze. It's a little frustrating when I try to lock it and can't see the screen to tell if it locked or not without pressing the fire button to see if it fires. From what I can tell, the functions work and it always fires but the display shuts off with the fire button.

Yeah, kind of odd. Did you find a reset option anywhere on escribe that allows you to reset it to the default?
