Just bought one of the new Janty atomisers with the two big holes. I had hoped that this one would work with carts, but no, same problem, burning cart taste, does not empty the cart. In this respect the Janty seems worse than some of the cheap generics. Is it just me? It's superb with dripping, but I cant drip and drive!!

Cartridges don't usually work for me in my classic either Pete. I try now and then in case it's something I'm not doing right but it rarely works.

I'm wondering is if it's to do with the cartridges rather than the atomiser. If the filler isn't wicking properly maybe it's to do with the kind of filler Janty uses. I have tried a Sedansa cartridge in a Kissbox classic but (doh!) can't remember how it worked out.

I have some generic cartridges that I think I'll try and see how they work. I'll just pop the filler into a Janty cartridge so it fits well.

I don't understand the why penstyles atomisers vary so much, I had one from e-cigs.co.uk and it was excellent, not problems with carts. When it died it was replaced with an identical model, did it work with carts? No.

I have 6 stainless steel atomisers from bestecig. So far 2 are perfect, 2 are useless, I'm taking bets on the remaining 2... Both KB atomisers I've tried didn't work with carts, this new one is the worst I've ever tried. So annoying when they drip so well. I'll have a go as well swapping fillers between generics and Janty to see how they work.

What is really galling is the extra carts Janty chuck in for the Paypal fee, all well and good but if you can't use them:mad:

I've had the same problem as Pete. On my third atomiser from Janty now. Strange thing is the Janty cartridges work really well in my black e-cigs.co.uk classic just not in the KB. I'm sure it's something to do with the atomiser rather than the cart itself.

As a side note Harry reckons the latest atomiser I've got is a new model without a fibre core so the burning taste shouldn't be a problem. Looks exactly the same to me though.

This is getting completely bizarre, just tried a Janty cart in the ecigs.co.uk atomiser that perviously would not work with carts, guess what? It works perfectly:confused:

I think the only thing this proves is the manufacturing tolerances for atomisers are too big.

Well at least you can use those free carts now Pete :thumb:

I tried Kate's idea of using the classic core in the KB and same burning taste problem after a few drags. Shame, would have been nice if it worked the other way around as well.

True, the carts will find a use. This is getting too weird now, the Janty atomiser is starting to work with carts. Not very well but a definite improvement. I've given up trying to be logical about this, it's all black magic:)

Just click the back button in your browser to recover it. You need to wait quite a while for the quota to get reset though. Better than retyping.

that works with the normal cpu overload quota thing.. this database script error was different.. click and it was gone for good... the browser back button just produced an empty box..

the ultimate safe way is do it in a txt file then copy and paste it in.. notepad was the best thing microsoft ever invented..

i have million of txt files cluttering up my PC.. i can never be arsed to name em properly... he he

After several months of happy KB use I got through 6 janty KB atomisers in in very short time. Some lasting 2 days. Harry said he had no other problems and but they had had a bad batch of cartridges and sent me some liquid. No better so bit the bullet and bought a screwdriver, spare atomisers and liquid from Pillbox and I have the perfect kit.
If you work it out it is false economy to buy anything else.
I am not related to neither do I know Trog but gifts are gratefully received. He He

1) Try standing the cig with carts in battery end down and let it sit a few minutes to let the juice run thru the atomizer.
2) Try pulling the cart filler out just a little for better contact with the atomizer.

copy to clipboard before posting (just incase)

Tried all that I'm afraid, without success. What bugs me is the KB atomiser performs worse with carts than the generics. I'm not disputing it's an excellent atomiser when dripped but I don't think I'm being unreasonable to expect it to work with carts.

Agreed Pete. I've tried all those things as well and still no joy with carts. Harry reckoned it's something to with the batch of carts I had, something to do with them being hand made. Given that they work fine in my generic however would suggest it's the device.

I do love the flavour of it when it's working though. Virginia in anything else just doesn't taste as nice to me.
