Janty eGo is the perfect PV

Forget about "equals x regular cigarettes", that is an exceptionally tricky one. Not only are those advertising numbers, and hence not all that reliable, to be polite. Plus, you vape differently from how you smoke, most of the time. Not to mention the learning curve in the beginning.

I vape pretty heavily, and I refill my carts when I change my (normal 510) batteries, which I need to do about every hour or so; althought the carts would last me a bit longer.

You don't need anything like a refill kit or anything, liquid comes in dropper bottles, which is all you need. (With a 510 and all proper cart models. Cartomizers, now, different story there.) While there are a few cart mods out there where a syringe makes refilling them slightly simpler, you will find about that when you try cart mods. BTW, I tried several, and now am perfectly happy with Fluval + straw mod. You might want to investigate that one.

Is the strength of the battery relatively consistent throughout the day, if you know what I mean? I have a 10440 battery mode, and after the first 30 minutes, the strength really drops.

First hit is as good as the last! And the last hit won't come for 8 to 10 HOURS later, maybe more, depending on how you vape, of course!

See, here we go...I see a great new toy to add to my collection. I hear nothing but good things about the eGo. ::sigh:: If it is true that the battery last as long as it does and the thing is very efficient with the juice I just may have to get this one sooner rather than later.

For size to capacity ratio it's the best PV on the market, it doesn't look out of place when you're using it outside and the charger is super quick considering the capacity. Yes its expensive vs a regular 510 kit but it is worth the extra for the convenience. I'll probably buy a second set just so I have a spare in case of malfunction/loss.

The ego uses standard 510 atties and cartridges.

thanx crmartin. on the jantyusa web site i see that they do not offer the eGo batteries or the mega carts sold separately. paying 85 bucks for 2 batteries and an atty would be ridiculous! they may last 10 plus hrs at a time but for how many re-charges? maybe im blind but i didnt see them on their site. only the kits. also, what is the volts this thing runs at?

There are cheaper alternatives obviously, if you want cheap get a DSE905 an adaptor and some 14500's from deal extreme - I wasn't happy with that setup and preferred a regular 510 battery but they require swapping/charging every 90 minutes. I paid the premium for the luxury of long consistant battery life in a small enclosure with perfect airflow.

According to Janty, the batteries are good for at least 200 recharges each. The spare parts are not yet available, but they are working on it.

I just got one of these babies. It's a little bigger than a 510 or normal e cig, but is lasting me 16 hours on the first battery, and 14 hours on the second.

I just received my eGo this morning and, after fooling with it for about 30 minutes, I must say I imporessed. Vapor production is great, flavor is good. It comes with one 510 atty type that I think is supposed to be guaranteed for 6 months. Catridge appears to be the same.

It took me about 30 minutes to get it going, though. At first it was very hard to draw on. Once it got going, it is excellent. I'll post tomorrow after I use it for at least one 24 hours period. So far, I'm happy.

Do you have a Joye 510 with one of those"mega" extended batts?
They are a bit longer than the normal batts but last a longer time.
So far, I have found the Mega batt + 510 cart w/ blue foam + regular 510 atty to be my best and most reliable PV.
Sounds like the eGo is simelar in that you are basicly using the same 510 cart and atty with a better battery.
Does that make any sense? or do you think the eGo is different?

The starter kit comes with a little flimsy pouch, but it doesn't hold all the chargers or extras - does anyone have any suggestions on what would work well as a travel case for all the stuff? (the occasional juice, too)

Insulin cases work great for that kind of stuff. There are also some of the gameing cases that work too. Do a search of the forums for cases

I've had my eGo for about 24 hours and so far its absolutely amazing. The batts are out of this world performance wise, just unbelievable.

I only use my eGo at home. So, I prefer dripping rather than using carts. Do they make a mouthpeice for the dura atomizer that isn't a built in cart? I've sliced off most of the cart holder with a razor knife so I don't have to worry about alignment, but I'd rather something better that doesn't restrict airflow.

Just remove the fill and wash out and voila you have it.

You can also pop out the end of the mouthpiece to provide additional airflow.

Instead of wasting space with the atty cover - why couldn't they make a bigger cartridge that holds 2-4ml !!
