As far as I know the atomisers for the Kissbox classic are the same as the ones for the classic, they both have the same mouthpiece (that part is actually part of the cartridge that you can replace) and they both have the same battery thread connections. The difference with them is the batteries and switches.

Your shopping list sounds ok to me except you might want to get a spare manual switch too.

Cartridges can be refilled and reused. Cartridge filler can be washed with water when it gets manky after a few days. I have boxes and boxes of cartridges that I'm only ever going to squeeze the juice out of now because I only drip these days. On the other hand they are not expensive anyway considering each one contains about 1ml of juice. That's 5ml per pack. It's a bit cheaper to just buy juice but not much.

"the whistle type" end is actually part of the cartridge, its nothing to do with the atomiser...apart from thats where you stick it in...

make sure you are ordering the right stuff...

and remember, all parts that fail-and they will fail-are under warranty,so you must post them back to Janty, and then Janty will post you the replacement part...tricky if you cant get post easily or quickly....

i dont know if you live fulltime in spain or what, but it would be much easier for you to order direct to your door if dependant on guarantee...

so if you order a kissbox, make sure you have as many spares and parts as you can in reserve...you never can tell when something will just cease to work.

edit-oops...was a bit slow kate.

I have no prob just using janty in my janty products. I love their juice.
The usb is a janty usb and it is a different experience...no concern for batteries and what is their present charge at the moment. Its like always have a charged battery. I am not sure what you mean "out of the box" it is a genuine janty usb not some generic if that is what you were wondering.

Hi Kimmie

What I meant by "out of the box" was that once I got it, I could plug it into the computer and smoke. It wasn't the case for me, got only a weak vapor and no throat hit. So I left it for several hours and came back, and got nothing.

I am guessing I was sent a DOA USB adaptor and I have notified Jeff.

If you are concerned that you are ordering parts that are compatible. Just email them a sample of what you want to order and they will let you know if it makes sense and what they recommend. I haven't tried calling them but you probably can call them and they can give you all the answers you need. Just a suggestion.

silly question...but did you put the battery in the battery compartment that is part of the usb (it is like a rechargable AAA battery) The first time I tried to connect my usb, I thought the battery was all ready in the compartment. After going through the packaging again...there it was! Once I installed the battery it worked like a charm. But there is some literature that came with it that said to hook up the Usb to your computer with the battery installed and let the battery get a charge first.

Yup i put the battery into the compartment and left it to charge.

And it doesn't want to vape.

Thanks all for your good advice, I've taken it all on board (now just got to work out what bit of the e-cig does what) 8-o

As a matter of fact....is there somewhere on this forum that has a sort of 'idiot's guide' with diagrams or something that explains the parts that make up an e-cig?

You know the sort of thing...a bit like an Ikea 'build it yourself' diagram (but better of course), with which part screws into which other part, what bit does what, which bits need replacements regularly etc etc.

That would be ideal for a novice like me that still isn't completely up on how many parts have to be screwed together to make the whole thing work.

Mr Darcy: I do live in Spain full time now, but post to my place in the countryside is not that reliable (things often just don't arrive, except bills of course, no problem with those!).

But I will take Kimmiegriffs advice about mailing them a list of what I 'think' I need and let them tell me if I've ordered correctly or not.

Then they only have to get it to me by next week and I'll be a happy bunny!

One last question...if the cartridges are only marginally more expensive than the liquid, and the liquid can be tricky sometimes to use, why do people bother? Is it just for economy over a period of time, or because its less bulky for shipping maybe? Just curious, not criticising.

Thanks again all.

oh why dont you come back home?dont you miss the constant drizzle?;)

just download and carefully read the kissbox classic manual on the Janty site, because thats the only manual they provide...

also read the kissbox threads on this forum, and dont be afraid to ask questions...everyones very helpful, and theres always someone good to help on here day and night...

and believe me-you need eliquid...its absolutely essential kit to have a good experience IMO...youll see what i mean when you start esmoking.

Mr Darcy: I have probably read most of the Kissbox threads on here (been on the forum for most of the day, got absolutely no work done at all!), but unfortunately, didn't really know what I should be looking out for when I started reading them (if you know what I mean).

I think I've got pretty much all the info I need for now thanks to you good folks, so going to take the plunge and order tomorrow.

And why don't I come back to the UK? Hmmmm, maybe I should, I was getting seriously fed up with the dazzling sunlight bouncing off the flower-strewn mountainides that surround the lemon orchard in my garden, on to my swimming pool, and then blinding me when I'm trying to write messages dammit!! It was so much easier living in a terraced house near Birmingham *sigh*. Decisions, decisions! ;)

Darn Rorsh! you musta got a bad one! ugh no fun! they'll take care of ya. Shoot that is one of the best things about that darn kissbox and you got a dud. Welp, let us know when you get the new one and how it works. It was the only thing that helped me get over the long charging time we have to condition their batteries correctly...16 hours...vap for 20 min...charge another 4 hours...those would have been the longest hours of my life...okay I exaggerated, but close! but I had the usb to soften that waiting time. Hopefully you will have your new one asap. You did contact them didn't you? They are known to send parts before they receive defective parts, just make sure to get your icky one sent off.

Hey Kimmie

Yes I contacted them and I think it's being sent. I have a few things to send back to them; two batteries, an auto switch and now this USB doodad. I want to send it all at the same time and i've been meaning to go to the post office to send to Jeff but I only get out of the office to sleep these days.

So once i receive my new one I can just pop the AAA-style lithium battery in and start vaping or should I hook it up, wait 16 hours and then vape?

Anyone who has received a 2-hole atomizer recently, please let us know what you think about it. We think it produces more smoke, no other changes than that though.

So are all the atomizers we order now 2 hole? If it really produces more smoke then I'll get one. Might need a spare for my classic. My 4 hole has weakened in vapor production since I first got it. It's over a month old though, so I guess that's understandable.

@jdhapa: you mean several new JANTY models ;)

We have been very busy for the last few months and things are coming to fruition these days. Give us a few more weeks and all models will be presented. We are currently depositing 9 design patents in China, Europe and USA. As soon as I get clearance from our patent office and the assurance of copyright protection, I will open a new thread here with pics and we can discuss about the new models....
