I'm pretty new to paypal, but have never noticed them charging me any fee???? My total on paypal has always been what my order total is, should I be checking my statement balance?
I also have a question, paypal wants me to become verified, which means they want my bank account routing number, has anyone EVER had any trouble with their accounts after having given paypal this information? I'm pretty cautious when it comes to giving out my bank account numbers and don't really feel comfortable with this but my supplier will only take payments through paypal.... what to do, what to do...

Great news, Thanks Ludo!! That's been bothering a lot of people for a long time!

ha- just my luck- placed my order yesterday :(

good news for future purchases though

Isn't that just always the way? I placed an order for cartridges at ePuffer just before thanksgiving, and the next damn day they announced a Thankdgiving sale. I didn't think Canada celebrated Thanksgiving. :p

It wasn't a fee charged by PayPal being referred to here. It was a charge Janty added to cover their expenses with using PayPal, something most merchants absorb.

As to your other question, I've been verified with PayPal for years, and have never had a problem yet, thankfully.

Trustworthy yes. But you don't have to get verified, though they will spam you a bit if you don't. It's really only necessary if you are using Paypal for large $ purchases.

I don't know what shipping costs are there but USA it's $6 or $12, depending on what you order....paid through paypal but with no additional fees for paypal.

Did your order include any shipping fees before the 4 EURO handling fee? If not, the EURO is probably for shipping. If so, you might have to contact them as it sounds like it's still charging the paypal fee.

You pretty much need to be verified in order to buy and sell with PayPal. As for the banking information, recently I did have an issue and found myself raging angry with PayPal. I sold an item on Ebay for $157. The buyer insisted he needed it right away and to appease him, I upgraded the shipping to next day. The item was in perfect working and cosmetic condition, yet nearly two weeks later, the buyer made a PayPal claim against me, saying "item not as described" PayPal froze my account without even asking for my version of the transaction. Since, my PayPal account was at 0, they then told me they were going to withdraw from my bank account. I was furious, since that would have put me in the negative on the day they would withdraw, so I blocked them from my account. I had to resell the item returned from the fraudulent buyer, so I ended up losing $57 because of the second lower sales price, $25 for the lost shipping charge, and $29 for Ebay listing fees. PayPal and Ebay are impossible to deal with if you are a seller. Ebay allows the buyer to post negative reviews about sellers but no longer allows the seller to post responses to the reviews. PayPal listens only to the buyer and will rob seller's bank accounts if you allow it. Moral: you are pretty safe as a buyer, but as a seller on Ebay and PayPal, BEWARE.
