Jaxxs hack-o-matic question

Okay so I download the hack-o-matic, which btw is awesome and going to make my life SO much easier! Great idea! However one thing I am not clear on:

I understand all the additives on the hack such as PG, VG, water, elliquid, flavor, ect... but Alcohol? You can use alcohol in your ecig? Has anyone actually done this? What did you use - beer, wine, vodka? Never considered using alcohol and still being new to this it doesn't seem like a really great idea to me. Flamable substance add heat coil of an atomizer, don't you get a boom?

If anyone could clear this up for me I'd greatly appreciate it. To me, I have visions of the idot who got a fire started, it's not burning hot or fast enough, so he grabs his gasoline can and pours it over the fire - only to light the gas can on fire of course Just always thought flamable substances and heat didn't really go well together lol

Alanae, have you browsed through the DIY e-liquid sub forum? You'll see lots of posts about the varieties of things people use to mix their own liquid, either with or without the commercial eliquid.

Some people use a little alcohol to thin glycerin with, some use distilled water for that instead, some don't see the need for either when they are mixing glycerin with propylene glycol, as then it's already thinned enough.

Then again, some people mix in a little alcohol for the flavor.

I've never used it, so can't comment much more than that.

if you use acholl use it a a pure form example pure grain 190 prooft or at least 90 prooft clear unflavored

Alanae...Regarding the hackomatic, I have tried to DL it. Would you mind giving me some instructions about how to open the hackomatic? On my pc I have not managed to get the file to open without garbled info. Guess I'm challenged like that Thanks Alanae!

It's an Excel spreadsheet. If you don't have Excel installed on your computer, that may be why it's not opening for you.

There are some posts about other ways to view it, for people who don't have Excel, I think on the original thread where Jaaxx posted it (link just above).

Did you unzip it first?

If so, I'd say try downloading again just to make sure your copy of it isn't screwed up in some way.

I do not heve Excel either--but my Wordperfect Quattro Pro opens the spreed sheet fine----Sun

I used openoffice to open it and it works great.Openoffice is free and is made by Sun Java Microsystems. Just type in open office in google and you will see it or you can type in openoffice . org

I use everclear. You can get it at any liquor store. Use 5% according to my instructions.
