I vape mine at 60-85w with a Crown tank at 450-550f in tc mode. I go thru 40-50mls a day probably more on the weekends and battery life has never been an issue. Is it perfect? No, but for the money it's real tough to find a better mod. Do I like my dna version better? Yeah. Is it $80-$100 better? Well, that's up to the individual. I can tell you this. If something happened to my RX I would definitely run out and buy another. The RX is my leave in the car, take to the bar, take fishing, I don't give ...., all day mod.

Not yet :)

For me it will take at least another 3 months of daily use. I've only had my RX200 for about two weeks and dollar for dollar it's a great deal. I run with a Supreme V2 25 MM RDTA and it looks dandy. "Pairing" of the appropriate cells is critical so if you decide to take the plung factor in the cost of three new cells like the highly regarded LG HG2 20A 3000mAh 18650 purchased from a trusted vendor. I have other mods for out and about so it's size and weight is a non event for me. The "coating" has already started to chip off (very small spots) but I don't care. /lol

I ordered another door from gear beast and they kinda gave me the run around on shipping delays but then the next day after my email they shipped it. Go figure. /lol

I actually love the ability to see the data on current volts remaining on each cell. It's "approximate" but a nice guide as compared to a cell icon. I run in power mode and it would have been nice if their chip could provide a "boost" feature when running in power mode using Kanthal or Claptons. Nice buttons with just the right amount of pressure needed to fire and with a wrap around hand grip it's very easy to hold and fire.

Just my own 2 cents. Enjoy and good luck!

:)

I've had mine for a few months now and have moved on to my dna 200 which have their own issues.

The bought two RX200 and I don't care much for that Joyetech chip inside. And don't get the black one if chipping paint bothers you. And then I did the same as you did, I bought two Reuleaux DNA200 and I love them. My HCigar VT133 should arrive here tomorrow.

Stop the Insanity, where am I going to find an Atty that will do 250 Watts.?
Apparently the Ijoy Tornado if you manage to fit six coils (see Djlsb Vapes' review), but good luck finding batteries that will handle the amp draw.

Oh... firmware 3.1 has been released a few hours ago. My two RX200 are now RX250.

Yup, I stumbled across it about an hour ago. It was a pleasant surprise that they upped the output power by ~25%. I vape well below 200W, but it's nice to have the option to "turn it up to 11" with very low resistance builds. :D

See to it that you have batteries that can handle it. That means the LG hb2/4/6, or possibly the Sony vtc4 (although you're driving them beyond their cdr in that case). Personally I think the update is a bad idea. For more than 200w you'd really want four batteries.

Thanks for the advice. If one were inclined to vape at those high wattages, (I'm really not at this point), one could keep a married set of LG HB2/4/6's for that, and a married set/s of LG HG2's/Samsung 30Q's for general use. You can choose between very high power or longer battery life, depending on the batt set you use. Seems like a good option to have.

I think relatively few RX200 owners will use the additional power provided in the update, but I appreciate Wismec continuing to update and improve the firmware with additional capabilities.

I agree that it's great that Wismec keeps updating the rx200, but wish they'd focus on added functionality instead of power. Then again I can't really think any any added functionality that it needs.

Yeah, that's the thing. I hope they continue to work on making the default TC modes more accurate, but when it comes to adding something; all the functions that a user actually wants are pretty much already there. They could add more TCR presets, maybe?

I don't think you will ever see this in power mode. But it can be safely done under TC. And my nickel Claptons are working perfectly.

Do you mean for the RX specifically?
That's the idea behind the (9 month old) xCube II's 2 second "initial hit strength" setting.
Works across all modes. Not sure about the DNA's "boost".

My question in the RX update thread was... will this mean pulsing on the RX?
Or are they going to trust users to have 30A cells at 80w per?

Oh they do that? I didn't know. No the DNA doesn't do that in power mode either (its disabled in power mode), but it is often requested.

Yeah we don't know if it is straight 250 watts or pulsed 250 watts. I am sure someone will test it and let us know. I have the equipment, but I don't have a build that can handle that high.

I can see why it's a popular request.
On the SMOK, it's simple but effective... -15%, -10%, 0, +10% or +15%, for the first 2 seconds.
But the xCube (and it's SMOK cousins) has a more complex menu system.
Not sure if they want to shoehorn that setting into the RX's.
Then again... I wasn't sure how they'd get TCR Adjust to fit, being used to the VTC.
Beautifully... as it turns out. :p

It's certainly not an immediate concern of mine either, but someone will get to it.

Now that you mention it, I believe the Mini Volt has that too. None of my other mods has this feature though. You know I often run about 25°F under from a slight burnt taste. Sometimes in wattage I might hit it by accident. But taking another hit or two with a lower wattage will often recover the flavor once again. I don't know if the way I vape would play nice with a preheat boost?

Some of the ProVape mods have the boost feature and it's widely and passionately popular. I'm pretty sure their aren't a lot of ProVape users running Claptons /lol /joke but for the subtank and kanthal build crowd it mitigates to a certain degree the ramp up time, given the variables involved.

In my previous post I was referring to my RX200 and IMHO, any UI engineer worth their salt could certainly figure out a way to insert a boost menu option in their own chip. As opposed to a "Watts" war :) Like exactly how many flavored juices (NOT VG or PG+VG) could tolerate that amount of heat? And of course the safety issue.

Just my 2 cents worth with a little disappointment in the mix.

:)
