today i am going to post my first real review, i have been an avid vaper for about a year and a half at this point and have been around the block with mods regular and variable voltage, standard ecigs and even an old 601 epipe.

today we are going to talk about the jazz carto pipe. i was a bit skeptical about this one after my issues and hatred of the 601 but i had always wanted a pipe mod. i am pretty much a usual cartomizer user at this point so i decided to take a dive and get the carto pipe.

Pros
this thing is awesome, sure its only 3.7 volts but it hits like a champ on low resistance cartomizers and doesnt do so badly on regular ones either. the fit and finish are perfect and the pipe is a thing of true beauty. the switch is easy to use and compleatly mechanical so failure rate has to be quite low. unlike other folks i didnt feel that the switch needed any break in, mine is super easy to use. it is rapidly becoming my vaping instrument of choice.

Cons:
-price is a little steep without batteries, but for a such a nice unit it is worth it and i would buy one again.
-looks like a pipe so vaping where smoking is prohibited could be a problem
-wish there was a battery cover

it beats the heck out of the old 601 and is definatly worth a look see, especially if you used to be a pipe smoker before you turned on to vaping

i did the standard 510, in the darker cherry wood. i would pick up some of the dula coil cartomizers if i were you as well they really pick up the device but any low resistance carto should do the trick

I got the XL 510 - they recommend the dual coil mega cartos for it so I got some to try - should be here today :)

Been using Jazz cartopipe a few weeks.

I have rev 1 switch which I modified to make taller.

Switch fires pretty consistent but rough stack switch is a bit more reliable and easier to actuate.

Mouth piece still fits good.

Swing arm bent when pipe dropped but I just straightened it out.

Jazz is holding up well.

Overall my slightly modified roughstack performs similar to my slightly modified jazz. Jazz vapor quality is slightly better but roughstack switch is slightly better.

If I had to choose I would choose jazz hands down; just to pretty and it produces high quality vapor.
