If the Quasar and Stillares are good, I might just have to snag one of em off of you lol. Right now I'm focusing on getting more atties, didn't think I'd like the Magma from the pictures but one of the members of my FB groupbuy group posted this gem and I had to get on a groupbuy. Wanted a dripper with a huge well anyway.

Do the stainless steel ones (Stingray) perform comparable to the brass ones?

Magma does look good on Panzer. Good thing I've got another Panzer on the way :)

I'll see how the Quasar and Stillare clones do and post pics when they come.
Seems they've been having some delay... it's always that way with China.

It would take forever for me to go into my testing methods which I'd rather not get into.
But the brass tested 0.03v better. Take that with a grain of salt.

Have you checked out 4th's FT SS? Seems pretty well done if you ask me, and for the price...I'm waiting for one on the slow boat currently.

Yea seen it and it looks nice after cleaning. Its already in my cart at FT lol. Just not sure which one to really buy the one with drip tip or without. I would have to buy some polish stuff and not sure how expensivee those are and what to exactly buy that everyone uses. The ehpro one looks pretty clean str8 out of the box in that review. I could just run it through some hot water if it comes out that clean without spending extra on polishing stuff.

Based on what 4th said, the one that costs less and doesn't come with the drip tip has a less than ideal switch. I ordered the one that is slightly more with the drip tip. As far as needing to polish, I don't think that's the case. It seems more to the point that in order to meet 4th's standards he put in some extra elbow grease and polished it up. I think if you just wash it properly with a good dish soap and water you will probably be just fine. Off course if you want it to polish it, I use Flitz and cotton t-shirts. Flitz costs about $5 a tube and would last ages.

I ordered them directly from Infinite with the Stingrays. The Helios were the only ones in stock and ready to ship. Rep told me my order would ship next week...not holding my breath.

Did you order like 10 of everything? Or did they let you just order one of each item?
It's pretty rare that a wholesaler would let you order that way.

Both of the SS FT Stingrays were good.
The one with the drip tip and fancy box is actually cheaper.
Other than having to clean it - it was perfect. I just like a nicer brushed finish and luster ;) I also use Flitz polish (great for polishing almost anything and it's not abrasive); Mothers Mag and Aluminum polish is great too - gets things a bit shinier and is a little abrasive (will remove fine marks). You can find both at auto shops (ie. Advance Auto, etc) - or just order on Amazon. I just use old cotton tshirts.

The SS FT white box version (no drip tip) - the switch on this one was loose - the brass threaded portion in the switch that sits on the button center post was bored out to big - that small amount of extra space between the shaft and the bore is enough to cause a large amount of side to side deflection.
BUT - I also have the brushed brass FT white box version (which I have to assume is the same manufacturer) - and that one's switch is perfect.
AAANNNDDD - I submitted to FT my issue with the switch and requested a new switch part. They said no problem and added one (I think a whole new device - not just the switch...but I will find out later) to one of my orders that has not yet shipped. WOW! That surprised me :)
EHPro is known for their "finish" - everything from them is usually pretty clean and shiny FOTB.
Good luck finding one - I don't see them for sale. And if you do, they are usually twice the price of what is available from FT.

thx agn, weird that the one without drip tip cost more on my screen at FT??? lol

Nerd...I know I'm sane...of this I am certain...But if for some reason I was hallucinating...
In my Hallucination the one without a drip tip was $2X.xx and the one with was $3X.xx. I just checked, and you are correct the one without is now slightly more than the one with. The one I ordered is FT SS Stingray with drip tip.

Looking at Fasttech today, I notice the price of mods are heading north. They just posted 2 new King mods, not newest versions, and have them at $39.99. If they are on path to start selling mods at around fair market value it won't be worth purchasing from them in the future when you add in the wait times and the unknown manufacturers.

4th, I ordered the MOQ for everything. Which means I'll have to throw the extras on ebay or sell them off locally. Lot of trouble to go through to make sure I get the models I wanted...but hopefully I can turn them over quickly and not end up in the red. Saw yesterday that they are now going to produce the tobh atty, if this order proves to be quality, I might pick up some more models from them down the line.

Guess I really was hallucinating about the SS version pricing then, or got it confused with the brass...

I haven't measured it, but I can feel the voltatage drop on the SS compared to the brass. It just doesn't hit as hard.

In my testing - brass tested between 0.04-0.06V better than the SS.

Here's some testing that jkuro on Calivapers has been doing with devices and batteries he gets a hold of and has time to test. His tests aren't perfect, but they are better than anyone else's I've seen. He doesn't list the Stringrays in any form nor does he have tests on all the 30A+ batteries. But it does give you an idea of the difference between different types of metal used if you look at a specific mod and just compare the difference in metals and test results.

Which version is that?

Nice quartz kit :)
Well it was the non polished FT version till I dipped it into 1 part peroxide and two parts vinegar and didn't care for the result so I chucked it up in my drill and polished it with Wenol. It came out more polished than when new. sku 1645500
TPA ripe bananna inside.
