Hmmm. Do u think there is anyway to make the chuck the same color as the background where it won't have to wrap all the way around an we can just use the image of her? Can someone show me what it would look like IF her arms were overlapping so I can get a general idea of how it may look? I love how it looks in the pic jeff posted by I'm not sure if the arm thing would look so hot. I'm seeing if my friend can change the background of the original picture and make it look like the one I posted. If anyone thinks they could make it look like the one I posted by changing the background color and her outfit that would be greatly appreciated.

Here is the link to the high quality image in it's original state

if u click the image it will open in HQ

IMHO To the knowledge of Jeff he had the final image. He was doing the work and while away from the main means of communication with the customer things changed. I truly believe that this is not Jeff's issue. I believe this is .b. issue. Jeff should not have to eat the cost over it. He did the work, then it wasn't what the customer wanted. Not at fault of Jeff. .b. had ample time to make corrections. Exactly 4 weeks from purchase. Then new information arose DURING the manufacturing process. He can't be in two places at once. Anywhere else when you have things made as long as it is on paper it can be redone. As soon as it becomes reality it becomes revenue. Meaning someone has to pay for it.

So to address this lightly.. .b. Just take it and order the new mockup. While you wait on the new one you will have a chuck to use till the new one gets to you. When you receive the chuck you want, I bet you can turn around and resell the old one at the price you paid for it on the forums here in the selling section. Most chucks on there don't even last a day.

Just my .02 cent info/solution. Do it get "cookies"?

If you want her arms to NOT be overlapping, see my first mock-up of it reduced. You can't reduce your X axis and not the Y axis.

This is the problem with a landscape image on a portrait template and why the other image was used.

Now mind you I still have the ORIGINAL image I was going to use here... the ones with the stars that I showed you Friday morning.
You didn't like that one then sent me the one with the black background which I used.

Feel free to use the blank template above to play around and let me know what you want me to do.

On another note I am completely shocked at the amount of mamory content in this thread and not one mention of "cookies".

First off "cookies!" Second off, Jeff, you have the patience of a saint! A customer has a right to a reasonable expectation to be happy with a purchase however that customer does not have the right to have their hand held. The amount of trouble that this purchase has cause Jeff easily falls into the "undue burden" category. This goes well beyond the realm of "making customers happy" and headlong into "wiping their ... for them" territory. Jeff is a craftsman of the highest caliber, and this kind of ignorance is an insult to the VERY generous offer he has made to add customizations AT NO COST, not to mention he is STILL attempting to work with .b!

I do not mean to tell Jeff how to run his business, but I am of the opinion that rules must be set. I highly doubt their would be any customer backlash over the setting of policy regarding revisions. I'm sure he would appreciate feedback on that, so you can count me as a +1 for rules on revisions.

Dang, I go to work and miss all the fun.

Jeff, you need a break. C'mon over to our shop, plenty of beer in the fridge-course I might be tempted to put you to work here....how are you with routers and sanders? LOL!
I am wondering what is more fun, dealing with particular folks who want a chuck or dealing with crazy folks who have their kitchens torn apart.......
On second thought, do you have beers in your shop fridge? LOL!!!
After a two year drought, we got hammered this month and folks are getting ornery!

Only so much a body can do when it comes to custom work. What works on paper does not always work in creating the finished product and sometimes you just have to understand that ideas given verbal or on paper can not always produce the image one has in their mind.

Hell, unless you intend to make the darn thing into a shrine, your hand will be covering it up most of the time!

One of the problems of doing anything more with this is what if more people start doing the same thing. Maybe once they see it in the prOn thread and it doesn't look exactly how they thought they try to get Jeff to remake it. This just adds more wait for the people that are in line. I'd say just send it out. I'm sure .b. will love it once it's in her hands. If she still really wants one with her new graphic she can buy another.
