This juice is very good! I just started dripping with it and I love it. Tennessee cured tastes great and great vapor! I had already ordered TC and strawberry, but now I see that I should have ordered the sample pack. So I ordered one. That way I KNOW which ones I like or not. The strawberry is doable, but I'm not loving it. I got the 24 mg. and WOW what a buzz-hit! Awesome! And I was a pack-a-day full-flavored smoker.

Ohh ?!?

It was supposed to have the BBD on the bottem (best before date) which is 6 mos, and as well the bottle was to indicate the nic strength somewhere too.

Hmmm, maybe Christian didn't get around to implementing that yet.

If not........ well....... its coming !!

Nope... I even felt around looking for anything raised.

However - There is nicotine and further info. Sorry it appears backwards... that's the icam for you.

MyPicture-1.jpg

But at the very top, you can see two things; PG and Non PG.... Then all of the flavors and then the bottom chunk are the nicotine levels. Each one is noted with a silver marker.

This bottle is Non VG, Original tobacco, Medium (18 mg)

It says D11. I assume that's the size?

On the bottom of all my bottles they do have all have different numbers (a starting letter and then a 2 digit number) all from 30 ml of the same flavor. Maybe it is to identify a batch as it does not go to the size of the flavor--maybe it does not go to anything. All I know is that I now am a more informed consumer with a list of the ingredients in my e-liquid---many people have allergies (nuts, etc.) and I want to know what I am using. JC made the right move here and they get the full thumbs up form me--Sun:thumb:

Scratch that post. This stuff already killed my 12 hour old atomizer.

Psych! Just kidding! This stuff is awesome! I'm getting a better nic buzz with this than I did with analogs. I dont hit it constantly either. The Strawberry is growing on me now too. The Tennessee Cured, though, is soooo good! Now that I have my device, I have decided that I will use carts instead of dripping. I can't get enough puffs off of the drip to make it worth it. I will probably get another one for dripping (different model). I do love this pilot, though. It produces more vapor than I expected.

what is their source of nicotine? tobacco essential oil (Virginia), Tobacco Absolute (Burley) i would assume. if that is so, can these substances be purchased and handled safely to mix our own juice?

As TB stated as well as others--making your own nicotine mix is BAD NEWS for the simple reason you do not know what your final nicotine content is in a homemade brew. Nicotine is a posion and will kill you at too high a concentrate--so leave it to the manufactures who know what they are doing (JC, Totally Wicked, Puresmoker, etc)--this is not something you want to play around with. --Sun

I'm not saying i would get anything close to a pure source of nicotine. but i just searched for tobacco essential oil and Tobacco Absolute and they can be purchased online. It seems they are used in aromatherapy and perfume making. An online seller says this of tobacco absolute "Tobacco absolute Tobacco absolute (Nicotiana tabacum) is a dense liquid with dark-brown to black-brown color with thin layer pale brown with sometimes greenish nuance and intensive aroma of tobacco. It is obtained from tobacco concrete." another retailer is selling tobacco essential oil with this description "EACH PURCHASE IS FOR ONE 1/2 OZ. (15 ML.) GLASS BOTTLE/VIAL OF THE ESSENTIAL FRAGRANCE OIL IN THE WONDERFUL SCENT OF TOBACCO. GREAT FOR CANDLEMAKING, SOAPMAKING, BURNING, DIFFUSERS, LAMP RINGS, AROMATHERAPY USES, DIRECT SKIN USE (AS PERFUME), LOTIONS, SHOWER GELS, SHAMPOOS, & MANY MORE USES FOR THIS PREMIUM GRADE OIL. STRONGEST GRADE AVAILABLE. WONDERFUL FRAGRANCING CAPABILITIES. I SHIP WORLDWIDE & ALWAYS USE AIR MAIL. THANKS FOR VIEWING MY PRODUCTS!!"(their caps not mine). So if they are safe to be sold and shipped to be used in aroma therapy I don't see why the couldn't be handled carefully by an ecig user?

How can this contain nicotine? Used in perfume and lotions? Nicotine on the skin can be dangerous. How many mgs does it come in? Will I OD if I spray on too much? LOL

Sounds like it's used for fragrance, not nicotine.

I've read numerous posts in the diy liquid thread that stress that oils should not be used because they foul your atomizer. maybe all the problems i've read about JC liquid is due to their use of tobacco essential oil.

Schu--the word "oil" in a lot of flavors is more of a term of art rather then an accurate description--the key question is "is it water soluable" If you look at LorAnn flavors which a lot of us use--they use the term LorAnn Oils to descripe all of their flavors, but in fact a good many of them are in fact not "oils", rather they are water soluable products --See www.Lorannoils.com and check some of the candy oils Item desciption---I hope that helps--Sun:)

I found this online at libertynatural.com
Material Safety Data Sheet
TOBACCO BLOND NICOTINE FREE BULGARIA - Product No: 223
nicotiana tabacum
ABSOLUTE
Color & Odor deep black-brown to pale brown, with a greenish nuance. with specific tobacco aroma
Water Solubility INSOLUBLE
so at least this version of tobacco absolute is not water soluble
wikipedia says of essential oils "An essential oil is a concentrated, hydrophobic liquid containing volatile aroma compounds from plants. They are also known as volatile or ethereal oils, or simply as the "oil of" the plant material from which they were extracted, such as oil of clove."
Hydrophobe "refers to the physical property of a molecule (known as a hydrophobe) that is repelled from a mass of water."

looking at the "Ingredients in cartridges or E-liquid" thread it appears that all eliquid makers use tobacco absolute. Perhaps its use is a case of designed obsolescence. the oils will eventually foul the atomizers leaving a steady market for repurchase. if it is just a flavoring couldn't its use be limited to tobacco flavored liquid? Thus extending the life of non tobacco flavored users atomizers? couldn't someone concoct a liquid that uses only pg, nic and water soluble flavors?

Christian has stated in our discussions that the nicotine and PG/VG are controlled at the lab he uses. He supplies the flavours they create, and the lab does the mixing per his formula with the other stuff to create the different strengths.

That's what he has indicated anyways.
