Wow! For other Newbies out there, I didn't know it could be this good! I have only had Apollo e-juice to vape until today. I ordered the sampler pack from Johnson Creek. Good deal, 5 5ml bottles, for under $21 bucks for me. I cleaned out a clearomizer and tried their "Merango" flavor! Absolutely amazing! There is so much vapor, I almost can't handle it! (after smoking for 33 years!) A good juice really does make a difference. No offense to Apollo, their juices were VERY good, I'm just blown away by the Johnson Creek! Now I know why people need VV's!! I am really having trouble handling this much vapor! The taste is amazing! Merango is a Strawberry flavored juice, that is very true! Just like a ripe strawberry! Excited now to check out the vendors on this site in search of other juices--and a VV! Just wanted to give a shout out to Johnson Creek, awesome juice! Fast shipping, too! :vapor:

Is the problem because its 100% vg or the juice itself? I really want to order their stuff but after reading some horror stories it makes me worried.
Ingredients in short. Vg gets a bad rap because if it's not wicking well then what little liquid there is, is caramelized. Dark liquids, sweet liquid gunk them up. Copper Creek which I really like too is another one. House blend, coffee and I'm using 60/40 pg/vg . Not as bad as Johnson creek but, similar. I rebuild and rewick myself so it's not a huge issue.

Try them. You just have to give the heads more attention more often...

Yes steeping is necessary. Depends on liquid. Becomes easier once you have a supply built up. I'm steeping some Casablanca and malty toffee right now. 2 weeks from born on date. Backwoodsbrew has steeping recommendations for each liquid. Bobas and gorilla juice are almost ready to go on arrival. Only slight changes.

Just store out of direct sunlight and shake daily. Opening the bottle isn't necessary..

I'm using the CE5 Clearomizer tanks with changeable wicks and heads and are a lot easier to keep clean since I can disassemble it. Do you think its worth trying them out? I really want some of their tobacco flavors since I heard they were awesome.
Try away. May find your favorite. You can soak the heads overnight in vodka or diluted vinegar. Rinse after.

I don't have any regrets. I am just a newbie, checking new stuff out. I have the CE5 Clearomizer on my eGo right now and I am vaping just fine. The sample pack is a great value to check out the flavors, they are small bottles at 5 ml but the give you the eye droppers for each bottle, and the collectors tin to keep all of your stuff in. I paid $21 with the cheapest shipping option they had and still received my order in 3 days....I paid priority shipping with Apollo and received those packages in 3 days. I say go for it! Let me know how you like it. I do plan to clean and dry burn my clearos more often just to be on the safe side.

Johnson creek is actually pricey$ as far as liquid goes. BWB has some bundles if you're lucky enough to get one. 5 15ml samples for$40. I'm glad you're enjoying yourself. avejuice.com has managed to keep their price down as has copper creek. Next two I'll try are vermilion river and mt baker.

Uh oh! I hope not! So far so good, maybe some of the veterans on the site can give us some info.... ?

I dunno. I use quite a bit of JC and don't have much of an issue with it. I'm vaping Vanda right now. Its one of my "mainstays". Rainier too. And I've just added Domestic to my regular rotation and "stock up on" list. Merango's not working for me. Setting it aside a while to see if might be a steeping issue but I rarely have to worry about steeping with JC. Just some good shaking seems to be enough. But, we'll see.

I read a lot of warnings about VG around here but I vape either 100% VG or 50/50. Half and half is as far toward PG as I go. I just don't seem to like anything that's more PG than VG. Like 80/20 tastes outright vile to me. But I'm not having any issues with JC. If anybody's going to gunk up anything, it's FlavorZ by Joe. Which are really tasty but something about his ingredients can really muck up things. I tend to veer off using a tank with his thicker, heavier stuff. It's really good juice but I've had it plug cartomizers with this black muck down the center tube. Pretty much kills the carto. Doesn't do it immediately but definitely shortens the carto's life quite a bit.

I always heard VG had wicking issues in tanks but I'm not seeing it. Then again, JC has some distilled water in their Red Oak line (Merango is one right? I'd have to go look). Maybe they didn't used to dilute and got the "gunk up" rep before? I don't know. Whatever it is, I'm not seeing the problems folks talked about. So... dunno.

Guess I'll give the Merango a while and go back to it. I wanted to like it but it just kept missing...

I'm not sure why Johnson Creek isn't getting much love on these forums. Yes, there are other vendors that are good in their own right, but JC uses high quality ingredients, comes in glass bottles with glass droppers and includes free smaller travel size bottles, fast shipping, never closed, and great customer service. I have changed my order twice while they were ready to ship and they did it with a smile. I bought a juice that I wasn't too crazy about and they offered to swap it out for something else (how many companies offer that?). I don't buy juices based on price, I buy based on value, customer service, and quality. Yes I like Bud, but I'd rather have a Deschutes Black Butte.

I don't have any clogging, gunking issues that others have heard about, and I use their dark liquids (Domestic, Tennessee Cured) in cartomizers, a V2 (meh), and 6 ProTanks without issues. There seems to be more "I heard that..." on this forum than actual user experience with the product. And some users seem to be basing judgements on their older products and not the newer Red Oak line.

They are kind of like Microsoft. Not cool and hip like Apple and Android with all the hype and fancy names, but an underrated company that does everything that one would want and does it effectively. My only complaint would be is that they need to expand their product line to include more flavors like the candies, teas, exotics (absinthe ?), and herbal flowery stuff that non-traditional tobacco users seem prefer.

Okay, that's the end of my rant. I could add more, but I'm tired and not feeling it so just try some samplers and see what you think. Everybody has different tastes, but I have tried some of the must-haves and keep coming back to Johnson Creek as my go-to juice.

P.S. JC just PM me and I'll give you my address for my free stuff. ;)

Do I need to post pictures of my empty tins? gunked up atomizers? Red oak line?
If you haven't had issues yet with atomizers you wil l. No worries. Really it's just a ploy by the ecf illuminati to bring JC down. Everyone is a paid agent told to repeat the same story over and over...

Their tobaccos are dark. Vanda and Rainier are not tobaccos and lighter in color than JC tobaccos. They're good but, when I was using them steady I had to take care of the heads far more often. Fact. They were the first liquid that forced me to learn how to clean my first ego c kit. 30ml on average is$2-$5 more. For liquid that costs you more in usage over the long run. I can rebuild. Many can't. Cartos can't be rebuilt. None of that is opinion.

The glass dropper bottles are a nice touch but, not convenient. Occupy far more space than they carry and clearly are a factor in cost. If I'm going away for a weekend I'm not loading up a jc sample bottle that holds 5ml in the footprint of a15ml squeeze bottle. Putting Bud in a butte bottle doesn't make it butte.

Those are reasons why. Not saying they're not good and their liquids aren't tasty, they are. If you like them then fine. You're willing to pay more to go through atomizers sooner. Many of us choose to not do so and find liquid of equal or more enjoyment that doesn't kill atomizers and cartomizers as quickly and cost less. Like I said, House blend and coffee from cc do the same thing. I find those worth it but, I'm slowly losing interest in house blend.

One more thing. ECF members like vendors that are ECF suppliers. I know I check those vendors first for hardware and go off that list for liquid to try next. I may be wrong but,I don't see them on the list...

Yeah I don't get it either. Maybe they're just not cool enough? :)

I like several of their liquids. Rainier and Vanda are mainstays for me. JC seems to me to do a good job on sweet but not overpowering. I like strong flavored juices too but not all day. And Rainier is about perfect for times like when I gotta run up to my mom's house to deal with something like the time the wind blew over a fence panel and dunno how long I'll be gone, I'm most likely to grab Rainier. The lightly sweet cherry it has doesn't "bore" me even if I vape it for long periods of time.

Which would be funny since the original line has PG and from what I've seen at least isn't more viscous than Red Oak but a bit less. And I haven't seen any that are as thick as some of my others like FlavorZ by Joe. Those can be dark and thick and definitely have clogged cartos on me. I'm leery of even trying one in a tank of any kind.

They are kind of like Microsoft. Not cool and hip like Apple and Android with all the hype and fancy names, but an underrated company that does everything that one would want and does it effectively. Yeah, I wish they'd move a bit faster on expanding their line. They've added Merango recently but they don't seem to move all that quickly at adding flavors. Not that I think they should move willy-nilly but a little more than the speed they seem to be going now.

Heh. Yeah.

"Review samples welcome!"
