As long as you have a telephone number, you can use Google Voice for texting.

Same here, i checked GV Help and found this "Sending to text message shortcodes may not work when sending from Google Voice. At this time, please use your mobile device when sending text messages to shortcodes instead of Google Voice."

Looks like those of us who'd rather not be at the mercy of AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, etc. are just out of luck on this one.

Just as with so many things, no real way to include everyone on every sales program. Not all of their customers use the forums, they have no idea about the lottery, family program, contests, etc., on the same note not everyone here has fb, know they said they would be running deals there and for those of us who refuse to use fb we don't get the luxury of those sales, same goes for those without text messaging with this program. No way to satisfy with every program, but at least they give plenty of options to include you on something....

This is true Morandir. And I for one am thankful for all they do. Some companies do nothing to help you out. Not even any discount codes for their sites.

youre right M! I can also tell people that the sales on fb are the same as the REG sales we already get notified on by email anyway ,plus they dont have the "family sales " .
