So far the Lavatube seems to be getting good reviews - but longevity is unknown. The Provari has a good track record as you mentioned. I had a Provari but sold it. Not sure if I made the right choice there but am looking for another mod. I almost got a Silver Bullet - but I learned that it doesn't have any vent holes as far as I know to expel gasses if you have a battery failure. The Prodigy looks nice, but I am not completely sold on the bottom button. I am not sure if the Prodigy has any vent holes either. You would also have to stack batteries in the Prodigy to get more voltage, if that is what you are looking for. Don't know much about the Syber Touch. I guess it looks okay, but I wonder how sensitive the switch is.

I know that is not much help, but I am searching out mods too. I am really interested in the Reo mods right now. I like being able to carry a decent amount of juice on board. Good Luck!:)

The Silver Bullet does have a vent. It's under the switch. And a Reo is fine mod as well, especially for vaping and driving. I get the flavor I like with dripping, without having to wait to stop to re-drip.

Hey Max correct me if im wrong but i get the impression you like the Ipro LOL thanks i will give it a look.

Sorry Jerry B,

When I posted that, I didn't realize I'd already suggested an i-pro to you. And yes I do love it. Also love my bp and my provari, and come mailtime tomorrow I intend to cheat on all 3 with my new lavatube :p

Heyas Jerry B,

Got my lava tube this morning. Since you asked, thought I'd write a short note about it. Batt is finally charged. First impression is, it works. It's simple to use and to adjust. It fires. For a $70 tube (I got the kit and an extra batt so paid more, but the tube itself sells for $70 with free usps priority mail) with a 1 year warranty, I can't find anything to complain about.

Well, my tube does have the now infamous white spots, but to me an imperfect finish is no biggie at this price point.

It doesn't look or feel as well built or polished as my provape or notcigs mods. Its the lightest of my 4 vv mods (I'm just starting my collection :p ), and only my I-pro is longer than the lava tube. But, it seems sturdy enough to do the job.

In short, and for a first impression: great warranty, great price, great features and it works. Definitely worth the coin. If I had it to do over again, I'd still buy it. Hell, I may buy another when they open up sales just to have 2 vv mods to carry around in my pockets and not worry about dropping, at this price.

I don't think the high end mod producers have anything to worry about (nor do I think they are worried). To me, the lavatube is an affordable vv mod with all the bells and whistles, but I'll still be saving up for another buzz pro or provari, a woody i-pro, or maybe a wood bottom feeder vv (or the new vvpv from notcigs) or whatever. The lava tube feels more like an ego. Use every day. Carry it in my pocket (except the size issue. Will have to work that out), not get upset when I drop it on the cement, etc.

I think this is a great addition to my pv collection :)

Just my :2c:

And now, It's way past my bedtime (I work 3rd shift), and I've been running on nicotine, pepsi max, and monster assault for the last couple hours waiting for 1 of the batts to charge so I could try it out.

:D
