Thanks for your donation. Thankfully I heard last night that some friends who live there are safe and sound, although their home is a total loss. The news coming out of there this morning is unbelievably horrible. 89 dead so far :-(
Thanks Fudgey. So many lives have been lost, and the devastation is just completely overwhelming.
We survived the storms here in Yukon fine. My brother got his truck beat up pretty bad with hail but that seems to be pretty trivial compared to.....

I finally got to talk to my friends in Joplin. They had moved into an apartment because they were building a home. They have lost everything in the apartment and have no insurance. Three automobiles with only liability insurance because they were paid for, and most of what they owned was in storage and is all gone. Both of their places of employment were destroyed also. They have absolutely nothing but the clothes on their backs, but they are the lucky ones because they are alive. My heart aches. They are planning on leaving the area soon to start over like so many others. Rob and Michelle, thank you so much for making such a large donation!
When I see the devastation it brings tears -- may God bless you for your generous assistance.
