"I also need to pick up a syringe… I hear a blunted 18 gauge needle is about right. ( but will gladly take the recommendations of others ) I should do that today…. At lunch perhaps I will drop by the drug store and pick up a syringe"
I don't use a syringe, I just pop the cap off the bottom of the tank, it's hard to get off so I get it started with a knife with a very thin blade.

I don’t know if you read that insanely long post at the beginning, but I was one day away from what you did, I had a more expensive V2 Cig kit ordered, and I doubt I would have been nearly as happy with it as I expect to be with this.

All my prep work was because of this website… without it, I would have don’t the exact same thing you did. Hats not off to me buddy, but to the people in this forum.

I so wish I was as detailed as you before I bought that first piece of junk before I got my eGo. It's not like it will make me broke but damn I don't know anyone who doesn't get mad at throwing away good money. Sir you sound like a very sensible man indeed, my hats off.

Woke up way too early this morning... I suppose today is actually day zero

Smelled the attys... no alcohol smell at all, did the old pot holder gloves and a hair dryer on high for another few minutes just to be sure and then let them cool.

I took a wooden skew stick and tamped down the wick ( very gently ) about 1/16th of an inch to make sure it was in good contact with the screen that I have never seen above the atty itself ( also cannot be seen with this tank system.

No syringe, but I do have a glass eyedropper, loaded up a cart with pure Glycerin ( VG ) and dropped 3 drops directly onto the tank puncture device directly above the atty, let that sit a moment to prime and the assembled the E-Cig.

I made sure the grooves on the side of the tank were lined up with the vents on the side of the atty cover so it would draw easily, checked the batteries, both charged.

I have taken about 6 puffs off of each one of them now, interesting feel to the vapor, have not inhaled yet but as there is no Nic or flavoring I am just priming the pump before my actuall juice arrives in the mail today.

Vapor is dryer than I expected, somehow I thought it would be like a mist, but not at all, feels like smoke ( but doesn’t taste like it ) in my mouth... good amount of vapor from each unit.

so far so good

I will be giving it a more through test today and hopefully late this afternoon actually smoking... er vaping it

alarm going off... heading to work ( taking it with me to show folks ) 2 carts filled, one for each unit wiht nothing but pure VG for now.

p.s. At first I was annoyed that I got the unit but had not e-juice yet, I am starting to think this is the best possible thing that could happen, I have had time to charge everything up, totally and thoroughly clean out the fluid in the Atty's, prime them with pure VG learn how to assemble and disassemble the tanks and the unit itself and how to clean it, learn to draw properly ( not exactly like a cig, longer slower draw has the best results so far as everyone has told me ) and have them both working very well before I ever actually try the real stuff.

p.p.s. Got to work, took my first actual drag, long slow and inhaled... no taste at all ( which is what I would expect from pure VG) which means no bad taste either, when I get the juice I will ge tasting the juice.

Easy to inhale, It will certainly take a 2 second drag to feel like I am getting something, no throat hit at all but again that would be expected with no flavoring and 100% VG.

Took a few more drags on it.... no problems, no bad taste, easy enough to use.

OK I feel like I have the right unit... now I just need to find the right juice

so far... so very very good

You will laugh at what also helped, reading the posts of other newbies, their bad first experiences, and I am doing what I can to avoid those.

I want this to work... heck... I need this to work.

So I am going at it slowly getting to know and testing out the units.

I feel like it is working, I now have a routine now to clean out a new atty that will remove all the bad taste in one evening ( for use the next morning )

Thanks to the other newbies here for letting me know what went wrong with them... so I could avoid that.

I have not mentioned yet... no leaks here... nothing.... I think we are good.

Can hardly wait for the mail to come today, want to try actual e-juice!

p.s. I know a lot of folks said don’t pop off the cap on the tanks and use a syringe instead... but so far, I have had no problems taking the cap off, filling them with an eye dropper and popping them back on. Just have to make sure you line the groves up right and they snap right back on.
