Here are a couple of short videos I found on Cignot that might help. Like IMWylde said, there's a learning curve, but once you get past that and get the technique down, you'll be blowing vape rings in no time. :D

And another one:

Okay, that solves the first potential problem.
:)

Really, you should be getting more vapor from a 510 than a Blu for the most part.
I assume you are using cartridges?

Check this out and see if it helps with your vapor production...

Dry atomizers, flooded atomizers, and wicking
Basically, you want to keep your atomizer happy with plenty of juice, but not too much as to flood it.

A good sign that it's flooded is that it gets a little harder to draw on and you get little or no vapor.
Flooding it, however, won't hurt it at all, and you can just blow out the extra juice.

Letting it get too dry, on the other hand, is not good for the atomizer supposedly.
But regardless of whether it is bad for the atomizer or not, you still don't want to do it.

You can tell it is too dry when it starts to taste like crap.
A nasty sort of burnt plastic type of taste.

One reason it might get too dry is if you burn through the juice faster than it can wick up more.
That is why people experiment with different kinds of filler materials to use in their cartridges.

If you take only a drag or two every now and then, you should be fine.
But if you use these like a cigarette, the wicking process will have trouble keeping up.
There are ways to deal with this, and people have different methods that work better for them.

And of course, when the cartridge is running low on juice, it needs topping off for this reason.

Im pretty confident that im filling my carts the correct way. Im actually taking the filler out, putting about 10 drops in the bottom, puttin the filler back in, and put almost another 6-8 drops on top of the filler. Its not over flowing or leaking either.

The drawing seems like its easy. I started puffin on it like a pipe before I inhale and im gettin a lil more vapor that way. I get a good TH but the vapor irritates my throat and makes me cough. All my juice is PG stuff, should I switch to a pg/vg mix?

Im not gettin anywhere near that kind of vapor. I like the looks of the vapor in the second vid.

TiMe,

I've read that pg gives more throat hit and vg gives more vapor. I've only used vg, and I get plenty of vapor out of my eGo. You may want to order some vg.

While you're waiting for the vg to show up, you might want to try the highping cart mod (do a search). Basically, remove the cart filler and cut about half or two thirds off, fill the cart most of the way with liquid, put the cart filler back until it's flush with the top of the cart (when you put the cart on the atty, the atty bridge will push the cart filler into the proper position). Before you put the cart on, you can drop a couple of drops of liquid directly onto the atty bridge. This has helped me tremendously.

If the taste is too harsh and you're not getting much vapor, it usually means the bridge and wick are too dry; add liquid to the cart and maybe a drop of liquid on the atty bridge. If you add too much liquid and flood the atty, it won't get hot enough to create vapor; take the atty off the battery and cart and blow from the threaded end allowing excess liquid to come out (use a paper towel to clean things up).

I've had mine for a little less than a week. It was frustrating at first, but with a lot of help from the people here, the experience has substantially improved. I may be able to quit analogs entirely.

Good luck!

Thanks for the reply! Im going to order some VG juice today and see how I like it. Do you recommend that I try 100% VG or a mix?? And Ill try the cart mod to.

Is it ok to take the filler out of the carts and wash them out with water and reuse them?

The fact that the vapor irritates your throat sounds like a dry atomizer to me. Also, PG doesn't provide as much vapor as VG. Many people mix the two to get a combination of the throat hit that PG offers with the vapor that the VG offers. ;)

You said you've been taking out the filler and putting it back in after adding some drops. Is it possible you're pushing the filler too far into the cartridge after filling it? If your cartridge is anything like the cartridge from a 510 (and I believe the eGo and 510 use the same cartridges), then the filler should be flush with the edge of the cartridge, not pushed in. If it's not, try pulling it out with tweezers until it is.

And last, but not least, what happens if you drip e-liquid directly onto the bridge of the atomizer and vape? I get all KINDS of vapor dripping one drop of pure VG into my 510. :D

Ill check my carts and see where the filler is, it might be possible im pushing it back in to far. I havent dropped any juice directly onto the bridge because I really dont know about that and I dont wanna mess stuff up! LOL

Im gonna order some VG juice, just dont know if I should go with a mix or 100% VG.....

I'm not sure you can get 100% vg; the quality assurance would be pretty rigorous between mixing batches. My juice says <2% pg. Maybe that's as good as it gets. I think Vapor Station has only vg juices. If so, they may have 100% vg.

As far as I know you can wash the filler, but it may fluff up and be more difficult to put back into the cart. I just roll it between my fingers with a paper towel to get most of the juice out.

Hopefully that's it. If so, you'll be in vaping heaven in no time. :D

Not to worry. If you have a manual battery (one where you have to push a button to vape), then there's no such thing as overfilling it. If you drip too much in, all it will do is make it virtually impossible to take a drag from it, and you'll have to blow it out and start over.

I'm not sure what the consequences are if you use an automatic battery, though. I'm pretty sure with those you either have to drip very carefully or not at all. Hopefully someone else will know...

As to how it's done, I just checked, and the eGo uses the same atomizer and cartridge as the 510. So if you pull the cartridge off and look inside the atomizer, you'll see a little bit of sort of messed up metal sticking up inside the atomizer. That's the bridge and wick. Drip one or two drops of any e-liquid right onto that bridge and then put an empty cartridge (with no filler at all in it) onto the eGo and vape.

No need to worry about perfect accuracy, either. I drip morning, noon, and night, and when it gets dark, I have trouble seeing my "target", so I wouldn't be surprised if I sometimes drip next to the bridge instead of onto it. If the vapor tastes harsh, I just add another drop, hopefully with a bit better aim. If I add too much, it makes a bubbling sound when I drag on it, and I blow it out and start over.

As you can imagine, using this method requires frequent dripping, but it's kind of fun if you like to fiddle with your e-cig.

You can do either or both. Try them all! You can try straight VG by dripping it onto the bridge of the atomizer. You can mix PG and VG and drip that onto the atomizer to try it. You can mix either or a combination of both with some flavoring and nicotine, if you use that (I don't). You'll find what you like best eventually. :)

Oh, and in case you're impatient and want to try VG yesterday, then you can get it at your local CVS drug store for less than five bucks for a six ounce bottle.

Well I just went on my break at work and pulled the cart off me eGo, AND the filler was to far in. So i pulled it up to the top, added a few more drops to it and put it back on and vaped. Still not a ton of vapor but a lil more than what i was getting. But it still irritates my throat when I inhale and it makes me cough. Is it time for some VG juice?

Ill try dripping when I get home tonight and see what happens. I just dont know if I will be able to stick to dripping, it seems like it would be a hassle to do all the time.

Yay, that's a good start! Since you had it too far in, the atomizer was pretty dry. It may take a while for it to moisten back up using just the cartridge. If you have any e-liquid with you, you might want to drip one drop onto the bridge in the atomizer just to prime it.

But it still irritates my throat when I inhale and it makes me cough. Is it time for some VG juice?

Maybe. It's possible that since the atomizer was dry, the first few puffs will still be dry until you get that bridge nice and moist, so don't give up just yet. And you might want to try puffing and blowing out the vapor without inhaling a few times before trying it with an actual inhale. :vapor: A dry atomizer is one of the harshest, nastiest tasting things there is.

Ill try dripping when I get home tonight and see what happens. I just dont know if I will be able to stick to dripping, it seems like it would be a hassle to do all the time.

Not a problem. Lots of people prefer cartridges. Now that you figured out how to position the filler, you should be able to use cartridges just fine. :D

Did the Highping cart mod to one of my carts, filled it with juice, and dropped a couple drops on my bridge right now. Got better vapor than before but its still irritating my throat and making me cough. I think its time for some PG/VG mix juice....
Yeah, some VG should definitely help with that then.

So get 100% VG juice from somewhere?
Yeah, it is really inexpensive and you can find it at Walmart or any drug store.
Just make sure it says USP on the bottle somewhere.

Mixing it in is going to dilute the flavor a bit, so not a long term solution in my opinion.
But at least you can mix it in various concentrations to see how it does for your throat.

Then you can buy a properly flavored juice that is mixed how you want it.
