I have both - I upgraded from teh 'basic joye 510' to the 'joye 510 eGo' - the eGo has longer battery life. Other than that they are the same. You will appreciate the longer life of the eGo imo as I used to have to switch out batteries for recharge on the 'basic 510' every half an hour or so. The eGo goes for a few hours before it needs a recharge.
Size wise: basic 510 = size of a pen
eGo - size of an AA battery in the body with a pen cap length for the atty to add to it
Hopefully that gives you some idea :)

Ah right, question makes more sense now :)

The Ego is like a 510 with a larger battery. It looks less like a ciggy but the battery lasts longer and has more power "in reserve" so the vapour is more consistent. It uses the same atomiser as the 510 by default. There are larger "XL" atomisers available for the Ego as well.

As long as you don't mind the slightly larger size I'd go for the Ego every time.

I have a 510 PT, which is my at home vape for right now. I absolutely love it because I'm in front of my computer most of the time. I just wish I could vape at work. I'm expecting delivery of my eGo in a couple of days. I'll let you know what I think by this weekend, but I haven't heard from many people who don't like it.

I recommend you to start with the normal eGo (not mega) battery. Depending on your power consumption, you may order more than one battery. Also, you will need an eGo cone to have one full eGo. Furthermore, if you want to reduce the time to charge, you could order an eGo USB mega charger, it provides more power and charges eGo batteries in less time.

I have 510s, mega 510s, and 2 egos.

I mainly use my regular 510s at home, and take my 2 Mega 510s with the PCC and the 2 egos out with me. This is more than enough "coverage" for me. Never leave home without a backup -- not worth the temptation. The combo of two egos and 2 Mega 510s when you are out and about would last you a good while.

An eGo kit (which will include the two batteries PLUS the charger and cone (at least one, sometimes two) and the atomizer (sometimes one, sometimes two...shop around) will be as cheap as just buying two batteries and having to buy the cone and the charger separate. And...you can always use the atomizers. Check out Cignot your Midwest Electronic Cigarette store.. That's one place. Others may know of cheaper places.
