Joye 510 battery questions (worried)

Like does it flash at you when the battery gets low?

It flashes right before it dies. I'll use it until it starts flashing and then I recharge.

Is there a safer battery I can use with the 510? Like one you know is protected?

Genuine Joye 510 batteries are protected

As far as I know all Ego and their clones are protected batteries. Having them shut off is a very good indicator. It's not that voltage has dropped to zero but something like 3 volts. Li-ion don't do well being undercharged so that's why the protection circuit cuts off power when it gets low. That same protection circuit also provides overcharge protection too.

After thinking after my post an argument for laptops and flashlights might be that we don't stick them up to our face.

Which would you rather have.. a laptop blowup in yer Man/Women region.. or an e-cig in your face.. or a cell phone to your ear..


to me its all the same.. Painfull but not enuff to deter me from using any of the above
