I just got my 510 today and I'm loving the amount of vapor I get from this. I just have a couple questions...

The atty seems to get very warm. will this shorten the atty life?

And are you suppose to screw down the atty all the way or leave a gap. I know on some models that screwing the atty all the way down will cause the connector to be pushed down and the batt won't make connection with the atty or charger anymore. Is this the case with the 510?

Thanks :)

You should be safe screwing it in all the way. I do with all of my 510's. The heat in the atty is normal for this model. I would however try having two set up at all times and alternate between the two of them throughout the day. This will help not to over heat that same atty over and over again.

I have 5 complete 510's. I initially bought the no box kit that comes with 2 batts and 2 attys, then later that day I bought 3 more batts and 3 more attys.

I am using 2 510's and alternating them, and then other 3 are put away for when I need them.

I always screw mine in tightly. Never seems to mess them up whatsoever. Also when you clean it, just blow from the threads into a paper towel, no need to soak in cola or alcohol or anything. At the very most run hot tap water through it, blow it out and let it dry. But never vape a dry atty! They do get very warm, sometimes HOT lol. Ive been vaping on the same atty since august. You will hear a lot of bad things about them... battery life is the only negative. Vape on!

My 510 attys run hot, definitely hotter than my 901 and 4075's. I screw the battery on the atty all the way. I understand that over time the silicone ring under the center contact may compress down so the center doesn't make good contact. You can carefully leverage the contact back up again to restore good connection, though.

Mine get warm also. I'm pretty sure they're supposed to.

I don't think they should get too hot to touch though.

Heat is what allows them to make vapor. Oddly enough they don't get as hot when new since they're more effective. Older atties require a lot of button pushing to make vapor.

I just plan on buying an atomizer or two per month. You just can't beat a new one no matter how hard you clean.
