Love my eGo. Love, love, love it. I actually have 3, now. Got my first two from the lovely ladies at Cignot (had to get the pink one). And no, the buttons don't bother me...at least, not yet. I also bought two 'eCo's' from GoodProphets. Just got 'em today, so I don't know how well they perform, but for the price of $39 for a complete kit (they were on sale), I couldn't pass them up.
If you get an eGo, get a drip tip. I never thought I'd drip...thought it'd be a hassle, but really it's no more of a hassle than picking up a pack of cigs, pulling out a cigarette, scrounging for a lighter, lighting the cig, and putting the lighter back in a place where you'll never find it again (like the bottomless pit of my handbag).
Oh, and I also have my Kr808's. I have five of them, total (the batts). I got an adapter and now use them with my 510 atty's just because I sometimes want the feel of a regular cigarette, like when I'm at the bar having drinks with my friends. Most KR808's have pretty decent battery life, so that's why I chose to get the adapter instead of springing for longer 510 batteries.
