I've never written a review, but I felt like I had to give my thoughts on the problems I had with this product. Let me start out by saying I love my regular Ego batteries and still have two going strong that I bought in December.
The problems I had were with the passthru batteries that have a usb port on the bottom. You can use the usb to vape or charge it. It sounded like a great idea and it was -- but my infatuation with them was very short lived.
It feels lighter and not as sturdy as the regular Ego batteries and the passthru connection is plastic. The first one I received, the button stuck in the on position. The second one never did work. The third and fourth just stopped working. The light would continue to come on, but the battery would not fire an atomizer. One known issue is there is not enough padding inside so if you drop it, even from a couch to a carpeted floor, it probably will never work again. I paid a good amount ($26 each) for these. I'm not hard on my hardware. I have mods, plastic mods, 510 and 808 batteries and have never had a problem with them. These were the biggest fail I've ever come across.
Why did I keep ordering them you may ask? Because I loved the idea and was told there were some improvements made in them. I must say the vendor worked with me and replaced several of them to honor the warranty. But beware that the warranty begins when you get your first battery. If you have problems down the line, it is only covered for 30 days or 60 days (depending on your warranty) from the time you ordered your first battery. Just hope your second one breaks within that time period.
If you search, you will find others having the same problems with these batteries but the posts are in different locations such as battery issues, model specific questions, etc...
