I started out with an NJoy Npro system and wanted to upgrade to something nicer. I didn't have a lot of money, but I didn't want to waste what I did have on something that would be useless in the future. So to save money, I didn't buy a kit or anything I just bought the battery. All you need to get started is the battery, some 510 cartomizers, a syringe, and some e-liquid. Except for the e-liquid I got all of that shipped to me for around $40. Not too bad.

Now for the battery. The 1000 mAh version is longer than the 650 mAh version. I personally like the length. It feels like the right size when I hold it. If I have my thumb on the button, its long enough that all my other fingers can wrap around the other side, which makes it feel very natural. The weight feels nice too. It's not very heavy but it is of course heavier than the Npro that I'm upgrading from.

I bought the black one, which looks very sharp. The thing looks and feels like its well made. It looks nice with an eGo cartomizer. Its not quite as sharp looking with the 510 cartomizer just because the battery is a larger diameter than the cartomizer. It doesn't look bad with the 510 though, just a bit strange.

Getting the pass-through version was only $4 more than the standard version. There is a cap on the back that unscrews and you plug in the included mini-usb cable to charge it up. If you are like me and want to save money by buying only 1 battery to start with, getting the pass-through version is a good option (plus there is no separate charger to buy). In addition, the usb cable is standard, so if you loose it, you can go get another one at bestbuy or newegg. When I was using the Npro, I was constantly plugging the batteries back in, not only because they weren't very high capacity, but also because the vapor production and taste were better when it was fully charged. With the pass-through, this isn't a problem as long as you have a usb port nearby.

I can't really comment on the battery life as I usually just keep it plugged in, but I suspect its satisfactory. It also has a function where if you press the button 5 times in 2 seconds, it will turn the battery on or off. When I first got it, I thought there was something wrong because it didn't seem to be working even though I had charged it. It turns out the battery was off and I just had to turn it back on. This seems like a nice feature if you are going to put it in a pocket or something like that where it could accidentally activate.

Overall, I am really pleased with this battery and have not found any real negatives. If I run across any, I'll let you guys know.

Just a quick update. This battery wont fire a Bauway 306 LR atomizer. When you press the button, nothing happens and then when you unscrew the atty, the light blinks 3 times and the battery continues to work as normal with other attys. I think that these attys are supposed to be 1.6ohm, so that is definitely on the low end. Other than that, its been working great for me.

I tried it again, and now its working. Its a bit inconsistent. Maybe I was low on battery the first time around...

Edit: After working for like 10min, its back to not working again. I'm getting another atty through the supplier to see if its an issue with the battery or the atty. I also charged the battery completely and its still not working, so thats not the problem.
