Personally, I go for the Vamo over the eVic, if I had to choose one... but I didn't. I got both.
I like the eVic's size when using an 18650 battery -- it's quite a bit smaller than the Vamo in that configuration. It's also nice to be able to charge just by plugging in a USB cable.
The Vamo, though, can use other batteries, so if I really want to keep it small, I've got that option. It does involve removing caps, but that's not a big deal -- though the threading on the end cap on mine isn't great, and I wouldn't put down bets on how long it takes before they're cross-threaded or stripped. It also just feels more solid than the eVic. Whether either of them could survive a drop, I have no idea, but the Vamo feels like it could. The eVic, not so much.
Sure, the eVic has lots of data and reporting functions... and I'll never use them. I use multiple PVs, so stuff like puff counters and vaping history on just one of them aren't very useful to me. I also find the eVic a bit complicated to use, which I feel like it really shouldn't be, given that it's got a multi-line screen and more flexible controls than the three buttons on the Vamo... but somehow the Vamo is much easier for me to work with.
I also like my RBAs, particularly my big ones. The look great on the Vamo, but make my eVic look like it's got a really bad case of encephalitis.
So, my verdict? I'd go with the Vamo. You get more flexibility in size and portability, a more streamlined user interface, construction that at least feels sturdier, and it doesn't look stupid with a giant atomizer on top.
[Edit: Throwing in a photo of the Vamo and eVic with some Provaris to show the size difference, and try to imagine how the Terminator on the Vamo would look on the eVic... it's not pretty.]
