Downloaded it this morning, this is an excellent update.

Holding up while on the home screen cycles through VV, VW, and MVR VV/VW modes. Holding down cycles through puff counter, calendar, and ohms on the main screen. All vital info and settings are now incredibly quick and easy to access, no more cumbersome menus. I played around with the MVR voltage setting and it works as it should. For voltage, you have three different "profiles" where you can specify an ohm range for it to apply to. Wattage just gets one profile, presumably because ohms aren't as much of a factor here. You have 10 spots where you can set a voltage or wattage and a time stamp in .1 second increments to switch to that voltage/wattage. As a nice bonus, the puff timer as you vape now also shows the current wattage/voltage, and you can see it change while you vape. Very nice!

You can now set a custom mah for your battery, for the puff counter. You can set a custom sleep time, or set it to never sleep (wooh!). There are some fantastic changes here. I still wish this had a higher amp limit, but it is now the mod to beat on the software side of things.

Agree completely. They took a device that I had no love for and totally redeemed themselves. I agree if they could increase the amp limit then it would be perfect.

I have mine starting at 6 watts progressing up one watt per second until 9 watts on my boge carto.

What did that do for you? I am interested in that but don't understand what it is for. I guessed it would be to start it hot to "prime" the hit faster then cool it down as you go on but you appear to be going the other way.

Lol, I could be bass backwards but I set it like that to ease the carto into a higher power

That's the way I did it... start hot and then back down to keep from burning juice. I don't know that either way is right or wrong though.

My thinking of increasing throughout the puff was
1 easing higher wattage to the carto
2 increasing the vape towards the end as I'm running out of draw strength lol.

Plus it is cool to listen to the sizzle of the carto increase. I'm going to try it the way you guys have it and see what I think.

with firmware V1.2(part of MVR 1.2 beta package) eVic has finally dethroned ProvaryV2 for the "King" of my PV's(see signature for best ones i use atm). It has succeeded where VMax, Zmax, Sigelei, MVP, Wamo's etc PV's failed and Provary moved to #2 spot in my book. Props to Joytech for actually listening to their customers, i just re-watched Bussardo's review of eVic(and his v1.1 followup update video) and v1.2 firmware fixes ALL of his complaints. That is amazing in my book - way to go JoyTech. Especially loved seeing Ohm/Volts/Watts on homescreen at any time and the new customizable vaping table feature(MvrV/V+MvrV/W). Now i just need to find an adapter for ZAP(or ZAU) to look boss on eVic so can combine my favorite Rebuildable with my new #1 PV. Currently using AGA-t on eVic in 18350 mode and loving it!
