Where did you get he silicone sleeve. I did see 2 different designs on Ebay. One covers part of the top of the mod and the bottom is completely open. The other doesn't cover any of the top but has a lip around the bottom edge. My black Cuboid has bare spots on the bottom after only a week and I set it down like it was some fine crystal artwork!

The bottom of my black is already scuffed up. Very poor finish (for those of you who care about that - I don't).

I am so surprised because the finish on the VTC Mini has been great for me, and I would have thought they would have the same materials and finish.

So is anybody having any issues with their Cuboid? I've been using mine and have been having problems with it reading resistances properly. I did a 5 wrap 316L on a 3mm ID and it was saying "atty short" on the screen. I unscrewed the atty and reseated it and sometimes is would show the same message while others it would show resistances all over the board until I pressed the fire button and then it would show "atty short" again. I put the same atty on my VTC mini and it shows .75ohms every time. Something is wrong with the cuboid.

Have you tried different atty? Some positive pins are wonky. My herakles was saying short on my vtc mini, but was fine on my ipv4. Turned out the pos pin was just a bit too flush for the vtc mini. I put a few drops of silver solder on the pos pin, filed it flat and round, and its good on all my devices now. Hope that helps.

I have both the stainless steel and the grey. The grey has a satin finish so it is a tad bit grippier than the polished brushed stainless steel. What I have noticed with both the grey and the stainless steel is that the corners of the bottom plate near the hinge of battery cover is a high point (the battery cover is slightly recessed) so that area is the first place where the paint starts to wear away.

I'll have to fiddle with the pin adjustment on the Bellus, then and see if that works. Coincidentally, I am also running 316L like @EyesoreJr

Joyetech 510s can be unreliable at times, are very shallow, and absolutely do not like to have an atty forced on them. Attys with longer 510s will often show a short as the center pin will bottom out and roll off to the side. Back off a half turn & see what happens.

Ok, I'll try that and see what happens.

Yep, same thing. Atty shorts. Just saw your post after making mine on the same subject. POS.
