So do we contact the vendor we purchased from or joyetech directly?
Unfortunately joyetech customer service chain places responsibility for customer service issues directly on the Authorized Vendor" who sold the device. joyetech has been known to deny service service support to customers who purchase at discounted rates from "Unauthorized Vendors" selling devices below "MAP" and most of these vendors will employ warranty service policies that time out very quickly or make it almost impossible to justify the time or expense necessary to seek adequate and service support for these devices. If you need support from one of these sellers it is recommended you act very quickly in seeking that support and often you are better off seeking refunds or replacements rater than service support from these vendors.

Well among all this bad news... I got my cuboid today in record time from vapenw. Not a scratch or blemish and working great with a new Griffin. Crossing my fingers it will continue to work well...

My wife has had one for about a week. Lately she has been having the itty short issues. She uses a Subtank Mini with a stock coil. I put the Subtank on my other mods and it works fine. When I put it back on her cuboid and tried to fire again, this time it said battery problem. When I pulled the battery out to check it, the one with the positive on the bottom was really hot. I let the mod rest for a couple of hours. I tried it again with one of my married set of batteries and my wife's Subtank Nano this time with a fresh coil and it worked for about an hour until I got the battery problem message again on the screen. When I opened it the battery was really hot again. This mod ruined two of my batteries already.

Here is the part that is scary. I went to the shop where we bought it and there was a tall pile of cuboids with a Clearance Sale sign on top of it. They were selling it at half the price. I talked to the owner and asked why. He said there were too many returns. I told him that if that as the case, he shouldn't be selling it anymore and maybe try to return to his supplier.

I decided to go home and not ask for a replacement for my wife's cuboid. The only reason she got it was because it was shiny steel and not painted. I now have to look for a stainless steel mod for her.

That really sucks. Glitchy is one thing but if this thing is unsafe it might as well be garbage.

Time for me to consider an evic mini

Strange, I've been using mine religiously for 3 weeks now and no sign of any problems... K.O.W.! I have 2 pairs of batteries and drain them till the mod warns of low battery (about 3.2v). The difference in voltages of cells at discharge is from 0.02 - 0.03v. From what I've read, acceptable. No heat, connection, or performance issues at all. I got it from VapeNW.
I mostly use temp mode @ 0.15 - 0.25 ohms with a max of 50W. On occasion, I crank up a kanthal build @ 0.2 ohms with a max of 60W, and yet to have any problems. Maybe it's at higher power levels where things get wonky... I.D.K. Hope mine holds up, and everyone gets squared. It's such a comfy mod! Hope it lasts!

Quick note to those who prefer their gear without prominent branding:

Based on product shots the black version's "Joyetech" and "Cuboid 150W" prints in white on the back side are quite prominent, albeit reasonably tasteful compared to many other manufacturers' efforts (personal opinion).

I'd guess the grey version would be less affected due to lesser contrast and in the stainless steel version the light text against steel branding looks reasonably discreet.

Just thought I'd share this as I almost switched to the black version which was in stock, but the product shots I'd seen didn't show the back side and I decided to go looking.

(One extra reason I like my black VTC Mini is that it's practically free of any branding at all. There's just a small barely visible black-on-black printing near the bottom on either side.)

I got the black and I can't read it as it's black on black, got mine from Cigabuy.

Time for me to consider an evic mini

I used the cuboid for only a day and it was working well. It was only yesterday when these things started happening. My wife's Evic Mini is working solid. Judging from what I saw at the vape shop, it's probably a just bad batch. It says something about their quality control though. Put all of this aside, the day I used it, the mod was solid. Plus I like that it displays how may amps you are pulling from the battery.

I just NOW, Today received my Cuboid from Elev8. UPSP really screwed this delivery up. I couldn't rely on the tracking info at all this time around. Order placed Jan 22, shipped Jan 23 and finally got to me Today the 29th, New York to S/E Minnesota. Anyways, I can now start to experiment with the Cuboid and Tron-S in TC, then I'll get the Cubis Tank to try (I'm following that thread as well).

I believe the amp display is only showing the amps at the atomizer, not at the battery, so unfortunately it's not very useful.

Same vendor, same finish for me - no scratches or blemishes in the box. Only one "atty short" message and that was using my Aromamizer, and no problems since.

With the reports of others having problems, I do wonder if there isn't a bad batch floating in the channels? Sorry for those of you who are having problems, 'cause this is a very nice mod when it's working as it should.

Can you post a photo?

I just redid the image search and while there were only a few pictures showing black Cuboid's backside, it would seem that in early photos there were high contrast white-on-black text and logos and now there were also a couple with grey-on-black. Much better if you ask me, but still totally readable.

I'm currently back into silver/SS mods which more or less match my atties, but I'd go for a Vapesoon style fake leather sleeve if they were available. Various colours too, to match the mood or occasion.

Silicone case/sleeve for the Cuboid, really like this a lot, doesn't attract to much lint and dust like some do but def will pick up bits here and there. The feel of this is great and I like how it protects the bottom and still stands very stable. You can still access the batteries without taking it off which is a massive bonus.

The fire button feels sooo nice now, I like it way more with the sleeve on, as do the + and - ones, some cases have cutouts for the buttons which I don't like.

I like they kept the writing on the back to match the mod, nice little touch. Another big plus, it makes the screen more square so you don't get fingerprints on it while still being able to read all the screen..

All in All nice very pleased with it..

That is the same sleeve I was interested in! Only place I saw it was Ebay at a somewhat pricey $9.95 but it looks like better quality. Is that where you got it? The fire button feel is the one thing I am not crazy about. It has a cheap feel and "tingey" sound if not pressed dead center. I had my first atomizer short message yesterday on my new Griffin after using it for two days. Had to turn Cuboid off/ on to reset it. Only other tank I have is STM and no error messages on the Cuboid with it or a couple RDA's.

Humm.... so many problems... I've had mine a few weeks now (from vapenw).
    • there is a bit of an air gap between a TFV4 and the top
    • the keylock is handy if you carry it in a pocket as the up/down stick out and your pocket can change your settings ;)
    • the mod will get warm if I'm chain vaping it but nothing to alarming
    • while building an R2 for a TFV4 I got the 'atomizer short' a few times after screwing everything together and filling. I reassembled/rebuilt it so don't know if it was the Cuboid or an actual issue. I have a R2 build installed in a TFV4 that I'm running on the Cuboid now that has no problems other than eating juice
Sad so many problems (KOW). There might be a Cuboid2 sooner than we'd think.

Hummm.. I have a v1 STM and it's happy on my Cuboid. Go figger...
That's the weird thing, my STM is a v1 as well and it worked fine for 3 days. I was using Nichrome 80 in it. Then when I switched to 316L that's when the problems started happening. The STM works fine on my VTC mini but issues on the Cuboid. I switched atties and its reading everything fine now with stainless coil.

My cuboid has worked exactly the same as my vtc mini. Early nex week I'll have a fresh pair of the LG HE2's (that's the 3000 mah one, right?) Then I'll be able to directly compare the count of firing time between the cuboid and the mini. I'm suspecting that the cuboid's 2 cells aren't giving twice the endurance of the mini's single cell.
