I have cut down to one a day from 20+.

Did that pretty much as soon as I got the Ego C. Upping the nic this week, well once the deliveries come in, and that should cut that one out.

Good luck with the Provari. Been looking at the Buzz very hard but I am good at the moment. My issue is finding the right juice at the moment rather than hardware once that is done then the nagging will come along lol

If you need great juice...try Jooglers Blend from Jooglersjuice.com...that's a great great tobacco flavor.
Another awesome place is Freedomsmokeusa.com....get the wyatt earp and hypnotic myst.
Lastly i'm trying a new vendor who's stuff is supposedly off the chain...at Vaporheads.....u.s grade nicotine from great ECF vet site!
enjoy!....I only buy tobacco e-liquid.....i mean who really has a craving to smoke a watermelon or bacon n waffles in their rig???lol.

Did you ever hear back from them on your questions. I still wonder why it is not advertised on their site and it is supposed to be a Joyetech product...

Hi Semiretired,

Nope, I never did.

Honestly, with the experiences I've had with mine in the last few weeks, my guess would be that it was such a crappy product that they are ashamed to put it on their site.

The 2 replacement switches Liberty Flights was kind enough to swap out for me? To replace #2 and #3 I bought when the center pin popped out of #1 - partially my fault that, and partially cheap design... well they both worked OK at first.

Then they started cutting out on me and my wife too.

My wife uses SmokTech eGo Mega Dual Coil Cartomizer's on hers exclusively.

I have used my ACTv4 tanks with Smoktech 1.25 ohm cartos, and now also a Smoktech 5ml DCC tank with 1.5ohm dual coil. BOTH of them are cutting out regularly now, or don't even fire at all the first time you push the button.

I'm pretty disappointed, but I'm not going to ask Ty at Liberty Flights to help w/this any more. He's done a lot already. I won't even go into it all that he did, but Liberty Flights is a great outfit, just probably really busy sometimes.

Anyway, if these will just keep working long enough for me to order and get my Provari's, all of this foolishness will be over.

I thought the JoyeTech would be a good interim mod I could use with the 18650's I was buying knowing I would be buying Provaris, and also serve as backup if I was going to be somewhere I didn't want to risk beating up the Provari, like working on the car or something.

Long story short, I'm just going to say it "like it is". Typical stuff made in China. I know there are exceptions to that, there are companies who do care about quality over there. I really wanted to believe these would be one of those exceptions. But they aren't. Not in my experience. (which is 5 switches now).

The fact that they wouldn't answer my questions when they KNEW I was writing a review of their product (I gave them the link) should say something.

Anyway, like I said, soon all of this will be over.

And soon I will have CAD software running in Linux.

I have had this mod for about 2 weeks now and I've noticed that when I use my AW highdrain battery the switch acts up... it blinks as if there's a short and I have to unscrew the head from the tube and then screw it back in again before it will work. When I use my trustfire flame batteries I've had no problems at all the unit works great and no weird blinking. My thoughts are its not that you have got a "flacky" switch... its that the button can't handle a highdrain battery. Also I got this unit thinking I could use my ego booster on it.... but the its a no go. The ego booster will work with this mod if you use a imr battery...but you run risk of killing the button. so in other words no way the ego booster will work with this mod.

Wouldn't be able to confirm that. I only have AW IMR's.

I guess it would be good for people that have other batteries if it turned out that non-high drain batteries worked better. But if you ask me, that's still a regulator problem (on the mod).

I did ask myself while I was still bothering with this thing whether the problem I was having could be that the 1.25 Ohm DCC's were just causing too much current drain (and causing the regulator to kick in). But when I got the last 2 replacement switches from LF (which I am grateful to Ty for exchanging, it's not LF's fault the product was bad), I gave my wife the 2nd one (we have 2 of these mods) and she put a Smoktech EMDCC (ego mega dual coil cartomizer) on it. These are 1.6 ohms and DESIGNED to be used on eGo batteries (at least, anything with a decent mAh). She had the same problems within a few days.

Maybe the switch (regulator) can't handle IMR batteries. But if that is true, they should say so in the product documentation. Oh wait, there isn't any on their site.

Anywho, now that I have my Provaris, my Joyetech eGo 18650 mod has been relegated to second string backup duty, or maybe if I know I am going to be in a harsh environment and don't want to risk scratching my Provari, I'll use it. I suspect it will be sitting on the "vaping museum shelf" for the forseeable future.

I bought a AW P18650 2200 mAh to use in the Mod and it works fine so far.
The control unit does not sit flush with the tube but nevertheless i feel safer using this battery.

I have two Bulli A2's at 1.6 and 1.8 Ohms and they are both working fine so far.

I like the size of it and the button position.

Who knows, it might last a week or a year.

For $19 delivered from Heavens Gifts, can't really complain.

So far so good.

Sounds like this mod might work fine with non-IMR type batts - ie protected ones. That's cool. So if anybody else is having probs with the button/firing cutting in/out and you're using an IMR-type battery maybe try a protected battery and see how that goes.

I don't have any to try myself, so I'll have to defer to those who do to provide their own user experiences.

The first one of these I ever got worked pretty well until I killed the center pin on it trying to use ACTv4's on it.

I had problems with the switch using TrustFire 2400 button top. LF sent me a new switch immediatly and same thing. I sent them everything back including one of my batteries. They suggested the SmokTech 2800 flat tops and sent me one with a new device. No problems in about a month of heavy use with 1.7ohm Resurectors. I'll probably be buying another device and a couple more batteries from them next order. Good products and stellar CS has been my experience with them for over a year.

when i orderd my joytech 18650 mod, i got the AW IC protected 3100mAh..with a 1.5ohm vision stone 5mil tank...the mod is high quality ...works fantastic..and the vision stone tank ..im gettin more vapor and almost as good flavor outa that thing then my shorty HH.357...its insane i love this setup.

i got mine from www.vaporkings.com..super speedy shiping only took 2 days. the mod was 24.95 and the AW IC 3100mAh batterie was 21.95 also from vaporkings.

i wish i knew the voltage tho..sure seems higher then 3.3-3.5 ...id swear it was 5v...last me 3 days of HEAVY hardcore vaping.

I believe the difference in height between the center post and the end of the 510 threads between the two batteries is causing the center contact post area of the EMDCC to be pushed upwards farther into the body of the cartomizer when it is threaded down onto the JoyeTech, so that it can't contact the center post on the SmokTech batts anymore. But like I said, the EMDCC works FINE on the JoyeTech, even after removing it and putting it back on.

I'm guessing this means that one of the two manufacturers of "eGo compatible" hardware I'm screwing together here isn't making their stuff to the right eGo dimensional specs. Didn't JoyeTech invent the eGo connector?

I could probably mess around some and fix this by grinding some length off the top of the JoyeTech's 510 thread shaft or something, but frankly, I don't want to go grinding on this switch, and I don't really plan on using the SmokTech batteries anymore except in some kind of emergency situation ....

In case no one mentioned this video by PBusardo (he's great), he shows exactly how to "pull your post" (in case it's been a while):

A PBusardo Tutorial - How to Pull Your Post ;-) - YouTube

Pretty simple, but it makes me want to buy are make a "post puller". (Reminds me of a particular episode of "The Big Bang Theory", where Wolowitz builds a robotic arm, and ..... well, you get the idea). :)

korndizl, I got mine from Vaporkings as well, though I picked it up local since I live in Tulsa :). I'm using the 2900mah AW IC blacks, and I got about a day and half (11:30 am on a Thursday to 8pm on Friday). But I tested mine and it is at 3.3v. I like it so far though I'm not too thrilled with the threads. Other than that, its a dang good mod for the money.

Please excuse my ignorance, but I recently bought the Joyetech Mod and absolutely love it. Would these work Clear eGo Dual Coil Cartomizers. ?

I think you'd be much, much better off with a single coil atomizer/cartomizer at the 3.7 volts or so that mod will be putting out.

You want a certain number of watts per coil to get a good vape, and dual coils cut the watts per coil in half. A decent vape might be between 4 and 12 watts, depending on who you ask, and what kind of juice they're vaping.

Let's say that the God of Vaping etches onto a stone tablet that "Thou shalt vape at 7 watts per coil".

According to Ohms Law, volts x volts / resistance = watts.

So, 3.7 x 3.7 / a 1.5 ohm coil / 2 of them in a dual coil attachment = 4.56 watts.

3.7 x 3.7 / a 2.0 ohm single coil = 6.845 watts; just close enough that you might not get smited (smote?; smitten?).

IMO "dual coils" are best used on a VV device, or a CV device of higher voltage than 3.7 (like a 5 volt Smoktech Woo), and then only with just the right resistance coils.

I'd rock that thing with a Smoktech 3.5ml DCT tank (or several), fitted with 2.0 ohm (or less, depending on taste) Boge single coil XL stainless steel cartos. That's what I'm going to use on mine (as soon as I buy a battery for it). :)

I actually got one of the Smoktech 3.5mL tank you mentioned with my kit. I really love it. Wasn't sure at first on how to fill the tank up at first, but once I figured it out, I was blowing out huge clouds of tasty 100% VG juice. Now my final questions are where can I find those tanks at a great price? And about how long do they typically last(I'm not quite a chain vaper, but still use it all day)? Finally, can I switch out flavors once the tank has been smoked dry?

Thanks everyone,

Stix
