Well aint that funny! Have you been getting any off-flavors with the subtank like some people have mentioned? Hopefully the ego One's heads will be similarly simple to rebuild, unfortunately my order didn't come today so I can't find out. Tracking says Sunday delivery so I'm crossing my fingers!
I'm really really surprised at the apparent lack of interest in the eGo one, everyone seems obsessed with the atlantis but this is basically the same thing in a smaller package, which people tend to like as well (judging by the popularity of the istick)
I don't really care what vape gear others are interested in, but the less popular it is the less likely we'll see any sort of aftermarket parts or accessories from Joye so I'm hoping once it's out for awhile it's popularity will increase.
Yeah, pure-d funk with the stock coils and wicks. Change out the wicks, still funk. What you'd imagine vaping your favorite juice mixed with ripe gym socks would taste like. But change wicks AND coils, good flavor. Same issue with the RBA deck. Long story short, I think there's something wrong with Kanger's cotton in some kits, or the machine oil they used, or aliens or Wall Street bankers or something...
As for the eGo One, I think the big reason people are more "in to" the Atlantis over the Ego One is a lot more North American B&M shops carry Aspire products these days than Joyetech (which also makes it easier to get replacement heads in a pinch, etc).
Lets also not forget that Atlantis has been building buzz for what, four or five months now? And it's been in consumer hands for most of that time, so there's ample proof it's a solid product. The eGo one got dropped on the public around Xmas, and just hit the shelves this week. It's got some catching up to do.
Also seems that Joye still has some "stigma" with the advanced vapers as newb gear (albeit high quality newb gear). But it looks like they're working hard to change that with the One and Delta II tank among other things.
