ok i tried a cheapo 18650, i tried a imr aw with red wrapping, i tried the smoktech 18650 and all worked, now they recommend 2 types of batteries, thiers and a sanyo but other batteries work, not sure if anything with their batteries is different but thats what they recommend for proper usage and any warranties to be valid etc..

so im taking it either your heads is faulty or maybe the tube is somehow where the battery sits on inside the tube.
also make sure you place it in with the positive side up, this can be hard to read on some batteries and not all batteries have a lip to determine what side is positive.

Just as I suspected. Thanks a lot for checking. These things should work. And yes, I'm putting the batteries in right. I kind of took offense to that for a sec, but that's cool, the question has to be asked. I highly doubt that the tube could be bad as that just completes the ground circuit. Kind of a no-brainer how that works. Can't really see how that could be causing what I am seeing. Actually, the unit appears to work just fine as a unit until an atty or carto is screwed onto it.

Ok, I think I'm done playing around. I will order one of the better controllers from you guys and see what happens. I have a few other odds and ends that I also need.

Thanks again.

Ok, so, I take it from your site that you don't offer the eGo-T Upgrade parts separately, at least I'm not finding anything along those lines. Is this true?

Wow Bad, so very kewl of you to take time to help someone with a product they bought elsewhere. I've seen several things that show me just what a class act you and Danno are! I'd tip my hat if I were a guy and had a hat! hehehe

Yes, many of the product GV sells can be bought cheaper, and in our case, without sales tax at other sites. BUT because Chris and Dan are so helpful, are always keeping everyone in the loop, and actually ANSWER questions, they deserve my patronage and get it.

Keeping on the edge of Technology is 1 more reason to keep comming back. NOBODY does it better...

I hear what you're saying and I get tired of checking a bunch of sites to save a couple of bucks. Gotvapes has everything that I need and some things that I want and they're all in one place. Only one order to keep track of and I don't worry about it because of the great service and shipping. What's not to like ?

I need to try their juices and if I like them then definitely everything is in one place. That's what I'm looking for.

And just to keep this on topic I got one of these mods last Thursday. Worked great from the start. My LT is taking a back seat to this thing.

if you look aorund our site many of our products are either priced the same as others and many things are also cheaper, sometimes we are higher, and we throw out lots sale and our prices are even cheaper then.

we have the bolt at 39 with batt and charger, thats alot cheaper then others for the whole kit, our itasteis cheaper then many, our dct tanks are priced the same as many other and on and on, our juice line is 13.95 for 36ml not 30. so we are pretty decent on many products. for as many things people can point to and say hey this site sells this one product cheaper i can show double for sites selling it for more. so when shopping at gotvapes you dont need to feel like your being gougded and we dont play games with our discounts, they are applied automatically for you and we offer great incentives to keep shopping with us and have a weekly special priced nice and low.

now some sites try to get any business they can so they go crazy on some products but that isnt something we are concerned with, we are concerned with giving you all great products and fantastic service, we cant always be in a war worrying about who is abuck cheaper or who is a buck less, in the end we strive to dleiver a great experience with great service and we are available to you all as we have been on ecf every single day and are committed to vaping and moving this forward, if you take into account alpha which will carry many products that many people sell and ours will be priced extremly low for alpha, so all in all we are doing pretty well pricing wise.

Zipper I'll look at this...we recently placed all cartomizer products together, all tank products together, all e-cig kits together. But anything to make it even more logical, if you have any suggestions let us know...

Well said Chris. If I may invoke one thought however....PLEASE make the GV web site a tad more "Product category" user friendly...All like items with like items, or associated items with main items, or accessories with main items so forth, and so on..

Just a kindly suggestion, please sir...

You guys are great...

Basically, all the new great stuff comming out is put under "New Products"..I was just admiring the new frosted vase tips for example. All thats needed really, is an expansion of the product categories & sub categories. I find myself wading through numerious pages in the "New Items" section, to find what Im looking for. No big deal, really...

A "All Ego" related section is in order now, with all the fine additions recently added. Currently we have the 1.5ml xl Phoenix's in a sweet row, but mixed in at the bottom is 3ml Phoenix tank stuff, and vise versa...Kinda getting convoluted, so to speak...

Geeze now im nit picking, and did not want to do that....please forgive....

Very respectfully,

Zipper...

NO its fine--appreciate the input...I put the Phoenix 3ml in with the Phoenixes cus we had issues with people looking for the one in the other so I linked them to hopefully make it easier.

But if you are ever looking for aproduct the best tool to use is simply the search box in the upper right hand corner. For instance, you could enter 'frosted' up there and it will take you to a short list of products with frosted in them (except for the Super Secret breakfast cereal area which is more closely guarded than ALPHA)

I think that a subcategory for brands nested in the main category for what type of item it is might be helpful. And on hover fly out menu would definitely be a great way to display the categories. Like cartomizers with a fly out menu for the phoenix, fluxo, extremes and so on.

And if you choose to do that and write your own code for it, let me in on your secret! I'm gonna be working on that soon and I'm a bit confounded. I could get a wordpress plug in, but I wanna do it the hard way :p

I'll be trying it with spry on dreamweaver tomorrow, but that program scares me.

Its usually done with javascript...some people get brokenated with javascript so I try not to rely on it for something critical like that...when you do hit the main category a page comes up pretty quick with all the subcats...but maybe I can bring back display in left hand nav that shows the subcats after you hit the main one. I removed it to simplify things and keep them a bit more clean...
